As a #CSTAEquityFellow, I stand with all of the cohorts, as we share our response in this post for The Voice.
I've been profiled on US soil and elsewhere likely for my skin color and my beard but I can only attempt to empathize with those who've lived their lives in oppression and collective trauma. One teacher lost in violence is many more students affected. I stand with @csteachersorg.
As a coach for the @csteachersorg staff, I support this message. Our communities are under attack and need support on “all fronts”from those who wish to empower us.
Words have power. People look to their leaders for direction. As a #CSTAEquityFellow, I have been privy to how the words and actions of people in power affect teachers who oftentimes wield less power. I stand in solidarity with my fellow educators who work toward #EquityinCS
