His crime? Daring to publish a novel - a work of fiction that cuts too close to the bone, vividly recounting the murder of blogger Albert Ojwang, with the Deputy Inspector General’s fatal directive at its heart.

The book has become a lightning rod, drawing ominous threats demanding its immediate removal. Atsulu’s fate, like that of so many others, hangs in a sinister limbo.

This is no isolated tragedy. Kenya’s bloggers and dissenters are being hunted, silenced and erased in a relentless campaign of state-sponsored terror.

Since June 2024, the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights has documented 82 abductions, with 29 souls still unaccounted for, their families left to wander morgues and plead with authorities who offer nothing but hollow assurances of “ongoing investigations.”

Albert Ojwang’s brutal death in police custody in June 2025, his body bearing the unmistakable marks of assault - blunt force trauma, neck compression, and soft tissue injuries - ignited nationwide protests, yet the perpetrators walk free, shielded by a system that devours its critics.

Atsulu’s family, given a mere 24 hours before reporting his disappearance, turned to the very police implicated in these atrocities. But in a land where the hyena sits as judge, the goat can expect no justice.

The same security forces accused of abducting, torturing, and killing protesters and activists - over 200 deaths between 2024-2025 during anti-Ruto protests - are now tasked with “investigating” Atsulu’s case.

The pattern is unmistakable: critics like Gideon Kibet, a cartoonist snatched for mocking the president, and the Longton brothers, held for 32 days and beaten for their activism, reveal a regime that thrives on fear, wielding abductions and extrajudicial killings as tools to crush dissent.

This is a nation suffocating under the weight of its own betrayal, where the promise of democracy is drowned in the blood of its youth.

The disappearance of Moses Atsulu is not just a missing person case - it is a clarion call to the world. A young author’s voice, bold enough to expose the rot within, has been silenced, and with it, the hope of a generation.

Will we stand idly by as Kenya’s writers, bloggers, and dreamers are dragged into the abyss?

Let this outrage ignite a fire that demands accountability, justice, and an end to this reign of terror. The hyenas must not be allowed to feast unchallenged.

In Jan 2025, the Ruto govt secretly withdrew KSh 19.7B from the Consolidated Fund, falsely labeled it as “Salaries & Allowances,” then sent it to a broker disguised as Kenya Airways debt repayment.

But what's funny is KQ made KSh 19.8B profit in 2024.

The law bars using guarantees for working capital. The payment was illegal, unauthorized, and meant to deceive Parliament.

Senator Okiya Omtatah has found out that in January 2025, Ksh 19.7B was illegally withdrawn from the Consolidated Fund under the vote of 'State Officers' Salaries and Allowances. This money was sent to a broker at Kenya Airways in the name of debt repayment. 2024 Kenya Airways Audit Report shows that Kenya Airways made a profit of Ksh 19.8B, meaning that the profit was enough to repay any debt.

This is a clear proof that William Ruto's murderous regime looted Ksh 19.7B from the Consolidated Fund through Kenya Airways.

And you people still say that this is a country.

We reject the UDA-ODM Committee on the 10-Point Agenda and NADCO

On the 6th of August 2025, UDA and ODM formed a 5 Member Committee to oversee the implementation of their 10-point agenda and NADCO.

The agenda of this Committee is ostensibly “…to address long-standing national challenges through the full implementation of the NADCO Report, promotion of inclusivity in public life, and protection and strengthening of devolution.”

The formation of this Committee follows a host of committees, task forces, and commissions that have been formed for various purposes, with little in the way of results.

Leading the way is the NADCO initiative itself, formed as a result of the contentious 2022 elections, and nationwide protests that ensued over the cost of living, electoral reforms and governance reforms.

No one is blind to the fact that nothing changes because the same sludge of systemic rot that benefits the few stays in place, the same corrupt players pull the strings, and political power-grab remains the core intention. Elite capture of the economy intensifies with all these pata-potea Committees and Handshakes.

The formation of these bureaucratic bodies is a deceit that comes at great expense to the taxpayer. This repeated insult against the intelligence of Kenyans will not go unchallenged.

What Kenyans want is real systemic change. What they are getting is reckless performative governance by a lazy leadership whose investment is purely in elite bargains.

If and when there’s a need for ad hoc committees, they must have the capacity to reset governance to the rule of law, restore the humanity of ordinary Kenyans lost through games of selfish elite power-grabs, and rebuild the institutions that must hold leaders accountable.
