š Before Politics, Gentner Drummond Was a Democrat Donor
Gentner Drummond was essentially a Democrat donor before he decided to run for Attorney General as a Republican.
Public records show that for over a decade, Drummond consistently gave money to Democratic candidates and causes. Hereās a summary of his documented contributions to Democrats (mostly 2004ā2017):
⢠$2,500 to Dan Boren (D) for Congress
⢠$1,500 to Pete Regan (D) for Lt. Governor
⢠$1,450 to John Olson (D) for Congress
⢠$1,000 to Brad Carson (D) for U.S. Senate
⢠$1,000 to Matt Silverstein (D) for U.S. Senate
⢠$1,000 to Kathy Taylor (D) for Tulsa Mayor
⢠$500 to Drew Edmondson (D) for Governor
⢠$500 to John Waldron (D) for State House
⢠$500 to Karen Keith (D)
⢠$250 to Andy Richardson (D) for State House
Total to Democrats: roughly $12,250 across multiple recipients.
His pattern of giving to Democrats largely stopped around 2017, right before he ran for Attorney General as a Republican in 2018. After that, his donations shifted heavily toward Republican causes, including significant contributions to Trump-aligned committees and the RNC.
This raises a straightforward question: Was the switch genuine ideological evolution, or was it a calculated political move to run in one of the most Republican states in the country?
Oklahoma voters have seen plenty of politicians change their stripes when it becomes convenient. Drummondās long history of supporting Democrats, followed by a clean break just before launching his Republican political career, fits a familiar pattern.
Now he presents himself as a strong Trump supporter and conservative. But the record shows he spent far more years financially backing Democrats than he has Republicans.
When the next big political test comes, especially one that requires choosing between principle and political self-preservation, which version of Gentner Drummond will show up?
šØ Federal Prosecutors Declined the Case. Then the State Case Collapsed.
For all you Law and Order fans out there, this case is different.
On July 10, 2026, the Muskogee County District Court dismissed the first-degree rape case against Gregory Emond Burns (CF-2023-00032). The case had been pending for more than three and a half years.
While the court docket does not state the exact reason for the dismissal, a filing made by the defense on February 2, 2026, offers strong clues. On that date, the defense filed a Motion to Dismiss along with a discovery request specifically seeking āinvestigative reports and federal declination materials.ā Less than six months later, the case was dismissed, and all court costs were adjusted to zero.
What āFederal Declination Materialsā Mean
When serious crimes are investigated, both state and federal authorities sometimes review the evidence. Federal prosecutors have the option to adopt the case or decline it. A federal declination occurs when federal prosecutors review the file and decide not to bring charges.
Why is that significant?
⢠Federal prosecutors typically have greater resources, more advanced forensic capabilities, and higher evidentiary standards than most state offices.
⢠When federal prosecutors review a case and decline to prosecute, it can indicate they concluded the available evidence did not support federal charges.
⢠If federal authorities decline the case, state prosecutors must proceed, if at all, using the evidence available under state law.
In this case, the defense specifically requested the federal declination materials in early 2026. That filing suggests the defense believed those materials were relevant to evaluating the strength of the prosecutionās case.
How This May Have Affected the Prosecution
Rape cases are among the most difficult criminal cases to prosecute and often rely heavily on witness testimony in addition to any physical or forensic evidence.
A federal decision not to prosecute may reflect any number of factors, including:
⢠Insufficient corroborating evidence
⢠Concerns about witness credibility or inconsistencies
⢠Lack of conclusive forensic evidence
⢠A determination that the evidence did not satisfy the federal standard for prosecution
Once the existence of a federal declination became part of the discovery process, it may have affected the strength of the stateās case. The defenseās February 2026 Motion to Dismiss, filed alongside its request for the federal declination materials, preceded the dismissal by several months.
On July 10, 2026, the case was dismissed.
Why This Matters
Federal declinations can become an important part of a criminal case because they may provide insight into how another prosecuting authority evaluated the available evidence. However, a federal decision not to prosecute does not, by itself, establish that a state case lacks merit or that the evidence is insufficient under state law.
The dismissal of a first-degree rape charge after more than three years nonetheless raises legitimate questions about the evidence, the prosecutionās ability to move the case forward, and the circumstances that ultimately led to its dismissal.
šØ Senior AG Staffer Paid by Governor Campaign While Joining Attorney Generalās Office
Stephanie Alexander, CEO of Team Thrive and former campaign manager for Gentner Drummondās 2022 Attorney General race, received significant payments from Drummondās 2026 gubernatorial campaign committee while being brought onto the Attorney Generalās staff.
According to the Friends of Gentner Drummond 2026 campaign finance report for the first quarter of 2026, the committee paid Stephanie Alexander a total of $30,210.09 for āstrategic campaign consulting fees.ā
Payment breakdown:
⢠January 8, 2026: $15,210.09
⢠February 4, 2026: $7,500.00
⢠March 2, 2026: $7,500.00
On January 23, 2026, just 15 days after the first payment, Attorney General Gentner Drummondās office issued a press release announcing that Stephanie Alexander had been hired as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Attorney Generalās Office. The release stated she would work alongside Chief of Staff Rob Johnson.
The same press release also noted that Alexander āwill serve in an advisory role for the Drummond campaign.ā It described her background as including her recent role as campaign manager for Drummondās gubernatorial bid and as CEO of a political consulting firm.
Alexander also personally contributed the maximum $3,500 to the same campaign committee during the first quarter of 2026.
Relevant Oklahoma Ethics Rules
Oklahoma Ethics Commission rules place restrictions on state employees engaging in political activity:
⢠Rule 2.9 generally prohibits state officers and employees from engaging in activities designed to influence the results of an election during hours in which they are in official work status.
⢠Rules 2.3 and 2.4 prohibit the use of public funds, property, or time to solicit, receive, or accept contributions or provide services for a candidateās campaign.
⢠Rule 4 contains broader provisions addressing misuse of office, including using a state position for private gain or for the gain of others with whom the employee has a business relationship.
As Deputy Chief of Staff, a senior position in a constitutional office, Alexander would be subject to these restrictions. The campaign payments continued into February and March 2026, after she had been appointed to the Attorney Generalās staff.
Stephanie Alexander was not a state employee during Drummondās 2022 Attorney General campaign. She served as his campaign manager and consultant during that race. After the 2022 election, she became CEO of Team Thrive. The 2026 payments reflect her firm being retained again for Drummondās gubernatorial campaign.
The timing of her appointment to a senior state position, combined with the continuation of paid campaign consulting work for the same elected official who appointed her, raises questions about the application of Oklahomaās ethics rules.
Those rules are intended to prevent state employees from using their positions or state time to advance political campaigns and to avoid conflicts where personal financial arrangements could intersect with official duties.
This arrangement, involving a senior staff member in the Attorney Generalās Office receiving substantial payments from that same officialās campaign committee, appears to fall at the intersection of those ethics provisions.
@DrewUBS_OKC@KarlHulcher@BickslerRobin He is part of that Gazette group who love Drummond. I know he doesnāt work there anymore. Now about Stephanie and Gaskinsā¦. Tell me more about them Drew.
@DrewUBS_OKC@KarlHulcher@BickslerRobin Give me some real data Drew. Iām coming up with real numbers here. I just posted about one of Drummondās expenditures on the $89,000 survey he got for himself.
Going through Drummondās campaign expenditures. In Q4 2025, his committee paid Cyngal LLC $89,200 for political survey expenses. Same firm later produced the June 2026 poll (sponsored by his campaign) showing him leading Mazzei 44-42% in the runoff.
The runoff has become a choice between strength and weakness.
A new statewide poll shows Gentner Drummond leading Mike Mazzei, with his lead growing significantly among Oklahomaās most dependable Republican voters. Every trend line is moving in our direction.

@DrewUBS_OKC@KarlHulcher@BickslerRobin How about you put up some of your evidence backing what youāre saying. Iād be interested in who the dark money is whoās out spending Drummond.
@DrewUBS_OKC@KarlHulcher@BickslerRobin And now those new offices that he added will be investigated. I think itās interesting. The characters he hired such as Stephanie Alexander and Gaskins and your editor. Whatās his name?
Oh look, Mazzei is debating.
While Drummond operatives have spent days mocking Mike Mazzeiās injuries, and his decline to debate with Non-Doc⦠here he is scheduled to debate Drummond.
This isnāt the picture of a man slowed down by adversity. This is a fighter who overcame tragedy through faith, perseverance, and natural healing, and built a life of service anyway.
The Drummond camp might be feeling a little silly right about now.
Oklahomans see the contrast: Real resilience vs. cheap shots.
Mike Mazzei turned pain into purpose. Thatās the kind of leader we need in the Governorās office.
Whoās ready for strong, proven leadership on August 25?
@OKPoliticalMeme@DrewUBS_OKC When did I say I was an expert? I would have to go research your very specific question but I do know McCall, Keating and Mazzei took out loans for their campaigns. McCall was the highest amount and he lost.
I have confirmed that this ICE-hating radical leftist works for @osbi_ok not the @okla_ag and it is clear she should be fired immediately. No law enforcement agency should employ someone who refuses to cooperate with ICE.
