Over the moon today to read the first research study on my 2nd level programme, Wired for Well-Being, which showed that it had a 'significant positive impact on well-being factors' for students, pre-to post-intervention. The study was part of a PhD thesis in UCD. Days like this!
There's still time to register for 'Overweight and Obesity...Let's Talk' today.
The free event will share practical information to help people understand and manage behaviours related to weight.

Consumer-based ‘self-care’ has become a trend, one which focuses too much on escapism. Real self-care isn’t just about relaxing; it’s about facing your problems head-on, instead of avoiding them. It's about enabling that space between stimulus and response

Wow @MalieCoyne quoted from one of my poems in her article in @Independent_ie today, what a lovely surprise & wonderful start to week.
The book of poetry titled The Dark Side Of Silence will be launched 🚀 later this year in aid of @unicefireland
We need to talk to our children from a young age about their mental health and tools for coping with emotions. Talking to your teen about suicide will not make them suicidal. Talking to them about anxiety will not make them anxious @lustforlife@MentalHealthIrl@RainbowsIreland

“I gave an outlet for athletes to speak up about their mental health and their well-being and learn that you can put yourself (as a person) first before the athlete.”
