“They had a good year, their first time. They hate us more than we hate them. We worried about other teams. Our process is not the Chicago Bears, that's not our Super Bowl. Our process is to win the North first.. Bears is not our thought process of the offseason like who cares."
This is a more generous first offer than I was expecting from MLB, but I think to get the players to agree to anything the cap is going to need to be around $300M and the floor might need to be $200M
BREAKING: As expected, MLB proposed a hard salary cap to union officials today as part of the next CBA, sources tell ESPN. The salary floor for teams beginning in 2027 would be set at $171.2 million which includes player benefits with the ceiling at $245.3 million.
Andrew Fischer keeps on destroying baseballs!
The @Brewers' No. 6 prospect goes deep for the third consecutive game, giving him a Midwest League-high 14 roundtrippers for the High-A @TimberRattlers:
Logan Henderson has done something no pitcher ever has before in Major League Baseball history.
He's the first in @Stathead's database (since 1898) to begin his career by making 10 straight starts with 2 or fewer runs allowed.
There's no stopping the Milwaukee Brewers.
They beat up the New York Yankees, San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs this month, and tonight torment the powerful Los Angeles Dodgers with a 5-1 victory.
They have the NL's 2nd-best record at 30-18, winning 15 of their last 19 games.
Wow... I haven't followed Nascar in a long time but used to when I was a kid, and Busch has always been my favorite driver just because we have the same name (that's all it took for me when I was 5). I remember going to see him race at the Milwaukee Mile when I was little and being the only happy person in the crowd when he beat hometown hero Matt Kenseth. He's also the reason why 18 became my favorite number, and although I never played sports competitively, 18 is what I wore in intramurals and is also the number that I have on my personalized Packers jersey (not to mention every single MyPlayer or RTTS player I've ever created).
R.I.P. to my first-ever GOAT.
