ICYMI: WIS 46 closed to traffic today from 140th Avenue to 150th Avenue south of the Polk County village of Balsam Lake. Traffic will be detoured via US 8 and WIS 35. This closure – part of a resurfacing project on WIS 46 – is anticipated to be in place through mid-July.

(2/2) Speeding is a leading cause of crashes in work zones. During five details in 2025, 165 motorists were stopped for speeding, where average speeds ranged from 78.9 mph to 84.9 mph in the 60-mph work zone, and two motorists were stopped at speeds just over 100 mph.
(1/2) EAU CLAIRE COUNTY: To keep construction workers and the traveling public safe, WisDOT’s Northwest Region has partnered with the Wisconsin State Patrol’s Air Support Unit to enforce speeding and aggressive driving laws in the I-94 work zone south of Eau Claire.
