The best player of Iraq football team, Ayman Hussein, was detained by US authorities at the airport for 7 hours.
Can anyone tell me why the hell was it a good idea to host the WC in the USA? Mexico and Canada or even just Mexico would have been much much better.
๐จ ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐: The United States has denied entry to Iraq's official photographer for the World Cup.
He was detained for at least 12 hours and in the end was sent back to his country.
โ @Romain_Molina
Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 hosted the World Cup and used it as an opportunity to clean up their image and show the world how welcoming they are
Donald Trump is quite literally doing the opposite, and FIFA are cowards for allowing this to happen
We all knew these situations were going to happen, and so did FIFA. Yet they still allowed the World Cup to go ahead in the U.S. They are not receiving anywhere near the level of scrutiny they should.
Before the start of the World Cup:
1- Iraqi player Aymen Hussein was detained at the airport for 7 hours.
2- Japan national team complained that the stadium pitches were unsuitable for play.
3- The Iranian Football Federation has condemned, in an official statement, the United Statesโ refusal to grant entry visas to a number of Iranian officials ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup
4- Some national teams, including Norway, complained about the extremely high temperatures.
5- It is expected that a large number of matches may be suspended due weather conditions.
We are likely to witness many negative issues and failures because the United States is not a suitable country for football or for hosting major international tournaments.
Iraqi striker Ayman Hussein flies 12 hours to the United States, lands in Chicago, and is then detained for 7 hours by authorities for questioning.
Not a single news outlet sharing this btw
Everyday I read something that makes me less excited for this World Cup. Shame on FIFA for picking such cruel and greedy hosts.
