Welcome week for new students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison included a drag show performance that one drag queen joked had "good Christian values."

It was sponsored by UW-Madison's new student office and the "Gender and Sexuality Campus Center."

We are sad to hear of the passing of lifelong conservative activist and UW-Madison alumnus David Keene. He served as national YAF chairman in the 1960s and remained a friend of our chapter throughout his life. He will be missed, but we will continue his legacy.

[Scott Walker @ScottWalker]

Sad to hear about the passing of David Keene. He was the National @yaf chair when he was at the University of Wisconsin and went on to be a leader in the Conservative Movement for decades.

4. What does this mean in practice? Many faculty said they would be less likely to support hiring a candidate who expressed a conservative view compared to one who expressed a liberal view on abortion, immigration, transgender sports, or affirmative action.

[Benjamin Rothove @BenjaminRothove]

🧵A survey of University of Wisconsin-Madison faculty released today revealed overwhelming ideological bias. Here are some of the key results from the Tommy G. Thompson Center's study:

1. 70% of UW faculty identify as liberal, while only 9% identify as conservative.
