@DrEmmaNash @StellaOShea1 I've always felt that any of the "caring" professions also attract a proportion of people who enjoy preying on the vulnerable. It's the only reason for routine unkindness & cruelty I can find ๐ข
@beanz2 I felt they all did very well to keep a straight face throughout. What professionals. I expect they must have swallowed hard & thought of their mortgages.
@RomanNumerals I did like it though. Loved the last episode - it was though someone had just got fed up & given up on the script & thought "S*d it! Put down any old rubbish to get it over & done with"
@fiofair I worried about that too. Also wondered how the Derry Girl took her to the loo & if she got them meals from Just Eat as she couldn't very well have cooked with Beth chained to the oven could she & didn't she need her handcuffs for work?
@DrNeenaJha When a relative was clearly dying with complex issues, I had to demand patient be seen by someone with a medical degree of 6/7 yrs training. Only a GP could enable family to access proper care, medication & support. We're forced to endure this stress & fear even at end of life

@DrJamesCant @DrSdeG I only realised the implication of "The poor you have with you always" when things started falling apart. Every generation has to re-fight the same battle against injustice.
@AdamHighcliffe "always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless." George Orwell Nineteen Eighty-four
Never liked Angela Rayner, but seeing her dealing politely & competently with ghastly Laura K.(promoted well above her abilities) & looking down her superior BBC nose at her has changed my mind.
