On the other hand, people make mistakes and occasionally say things they do not intend. I assume that’s why a clarification was given. It does not entirely excuse the words, but perhaps intention should be taken into consideration.

There is a measure of toxicity in most environments, especially those that hold he attention of many. Deciding not to be a part of something because high toxicity is not weak. It takes strength to cut out things that negative impact, especially when you’re expected to stay.
