I'd like to share tales about my Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Grandfather the Wise Wizard King Rossi. A storytelling Podcast. (he/him)
The more someone is willing to inflict pain as a consequence for "bad behavior", the more adverse they seem to be of any attempt to be held accountable.
@AudioDramaDay@ABradSchwartz That'll be interesting to check out, I know some of the issue was newspapers running with the story beyond what actually happened, so learning more about individual contemporary reactions would be cool
The 1938 War of the Worlds' broadcast is (perhaps apocryphally) known for causing panic and fear, it's important to remember creative works have impact and effect. As creators you hold a lot of power. Use it with caution, reflection, and respect. #WorldAudioDramaDay
Oh, cool, I did that podcast thing! Been a looong time! This time I recall a story about the Wise Wizard King and his mother witnessing a mysterious event in their pumpkin patch!
Transcript will be written and posted asap (ran out of spoons ๐ญ)

So, @audioverseawrds, you instruct people to double check the existing nominees before paying 25$ to nominate a show. Could you make that nominee list more readable? The current double column list is rather hard to scan through.
For anyone who sees this by the way, I dislike the nomination fee, and they know it'll make things less accessible, so they added the ability for *others* to fill in an accessibility gap *they* created. DM me, I'll cover your 25 fee for your show.
Whenever I read about a tragedy with uncertain causes, I can't help but imagine all those true crime podcasts salivating for their chance to scan a wiki article and get recording.
I wish content makers would stop calling sponsors "friends". They are paying you. You might like what they do. Might know and collaborate with them. But if they are paying, don't pretend you linked their site solely out of admiration.
@thegamestavern Telling people a server is welcoming when there is evidence of just the opposite is not setting the record straight. It is gaslighting.
So. Hey. @discord could you please include options to turn off your new features when they might be wildly inaccessible? Threads are a UI accessibility nightmare. I know you want those Slack users to migrate, but there's more thoughtful ways to do this.
I've been liking the Reply feature in @discord, but users being pinged by default is not ideal. Turning the pings off also appears to require visually finding and toggling it for every post? A setting to change the default ping from "on" to "off" would be really nice.
I need to take a lengthy break from twitter, it's too upsetting to see someone who abused their power and harrassed me being promoted and praised by people I follow
I'm a little tired seeing people claim audio drama roles are "Paid" when it wouldn't even reach minimum wage. Maybe some other language like "compensated" could be used for projects that only provide a stipend.
