i’m sorry but after all this time in the fandom i can’t help but notice that the fandom doesn’t really care about jake. 11k likes on his abs, 20k likes on his face, 45k likes on his bed video. when it comes to these superficial things, everyone is there, you all are ready to say the most unhinged things, ready to thirst. oh and don’t get me started on how you all see jake as a sidekick for every ship ever created in enhypen.

however, when it comes to important matters, like reporting that account that keeps harassing simkungdans and hating on jake daily and even creating ai pics of him, yall disappear. or when it’s about defending him from tt engenes because of an out of context video, or when it’s about voting for him, like in this case.

for the longest time, as a simkungdan i’ve felt completely alone (together with other simkungdans ofc) but completely abandoned by the rest of the fandom. we have asked for help constantly, defended jake constantly against engenes themselves.

jake is the sweetest boy ive ever seen, he’s always so grateful and so loving. this man literally treasures his fans more than anything, he’s remembers things about his fans, sometimes fans that he’s only met one time on a videocall. he always always speaks about the first letter he received, always thanks for the support and always asks for a little praise or compliment from us. and he’s always showing his love for us in so many ways, it’s so fucking sweet.

but when it’s the other way around, it’s crickets. the truth is, jake’s love for his fans isn’t reciprocated. this fandom doesn’t love jake half of what he loves us. it’s so easy to say “i love him so much” but how do you show that as a fan? do you think saying “i love him” on twitter is enough? i think those are just empty words if you don’t even try to show that love to him.

it’s really about actions people, love is demonstrated through actions not just words.
