Channeling living soil into a dance with the #Bitcoin network. Isha Meditator. Sadhguru devotee. We are missing the energy unlocked by abundance of living soil.
/1 #savesoil thread for #bitcoin 'ers and the rest.
Soil is alive. Our body, our food, and basically all life forms on this planet emerges from within the soil. #soilextinction Soil is eroding, and more is not coming, if we do not act.
We now have the data to back up the previously untold story of ...
How Bitcoin mining stabilized the grid and saved Texans $18Billion
1. 2021: Berkshire Hathaway Energy first propose to ERCOT that they invest up to $10 Billion in buying Berkshire Hathaway's gas peaker plants that would "protect citizens from future blackouts by providing emergency energy of 3-4 GW in time of need" (source: https://t.co/7SnlbxEm71)
2. Fly in the ointment: ERCOTs CEO who presided over the Winter Uri ERCOT blackouts is fired.
New Interim CEO Brad Jones is appointed as trouble-shooter to safeguard ERCOT against future blackouts.
Coincidentally, China's mining ban causes massive migration of Bitcoin miners to the ERCOT grid.
Brad Jones investigates impact on grid and discovers Bitcoin mining can be part of his solution to bring stability to the grid, by providing a more flexible energy consumer than other approaches he's seen. source: https://t.co/8OJHgil2wb
Brad Jones embarks on a bold strategy to forgo expensive investment in gas peaker plants that would not fully solve the problem, and result in higher energy costs to Texans in favor of including Bitcoin mining as the key element of his "demand response" program
Together with weatherizing generation equipment, the strategy is successful and despite even larger/longer/more extreme weather events - ERCOT does not experience another blackout
3. 2022 Brad Jones publicly declares that not only that "crypto mining" has helped to stabilize the ERCOT grid, but that it helps "find a home for new renewable energy on the grid"4. Bitcoin miner presence grows to 3 GW. (source: https://t.co/GisGrYuVCd).
Most mining companies participate in ERCOT's Demand Response programs. Brad Jones continues to decline Berkshire Hathaway Energy peaker plants. They are no longer necessary.
With 3 GW of flexible load resource on the grid, there is no business case for 3 GW of gas peaker plants. It makes more sense to have more flexible power consumers than very expensive gas peaker plants idling all year just for those one-off occasions where they need to fire up.
Brad Jones compliments Bitcoin mining companies for helping "keep the cost of energy low for Texans"
I would imagine Hathaway Energy is livid that ERCOT did not need their peaker plants due to Bitcoin mining.
Don't be surprised if Hathaway Energy is, and will continue to lobby behind the scenes for Texas' Senate committee votes to wing-clip Bitcoin mining's ability to provide Demand Response.
To reiterate: Bitcoin mining has obviated the need for these gas peaker plants.
At the time, I thought that this would make for a brilliant academic study. It turned out that a couple of academics thought the same thing. Their study recently came out.
Their findings fully supported Brad Jones' logic. They found that when Bitcoin mining was used in conjunction with Demand Response, there was no longer a need for gas peaker plants. (source: https://t.co/fcYfZ5F9xE)
It would appear that Berkshire Hathaway Energy continues to lobby intensely for more gas plants, arguing that they are needed in case of emergencies, despite both the Grid Owner and peer reviewed research demonstrating that they are not needed when you have multiple GW of flexible load coming from Bitcoin mining datacenters.
The estimated cost, that would presumably be passed on to Texan power-users in the form of higher power bills, has now ballooned to $18 Billion.https://t.co/t0GwN9CLEr
I’m going to try and be way nicer on this cycle.
There’s so many fiat addicts that are being forced to deal with an uncomfortable reality. The withdrawal is going to be palpable. Let’s build bridges and not “I told you so”.
Hold me accountable.
It's really hard to convey to the average American just how different the world view from India is. Permaculture takes on a whole other dimension, and here is my attempt to understand that a little bit more when I had the chance to interview Sadhguru.

Last Run with #bitcoin
Thank y'all for believing in the journey 😘
All's possible coz of your support.
I will be writing a book about this journey tentatively called 'Outside the Echo Chamber'
Looking forward to support and advices for the way forward.

DR of the Congo. Elon cannot talk about it cause it would ruin Tesla. Please inquire, I beg of you dear #bitcoin community 🙏🏻
There is an organisation called: iheartafrica. Run by Chakabars, home for orphaned kids.
They still don’t have a btc wallet, please help. 4 the kids 🙏🏻
Science people recognise that photosynthesis by the green leaf of plants is the most effective carbon capture technology. Biodiversity intensification to maximise photosynthesis is a climate solution Idiots continue to deny the creativity of the earth & the role of the biosphere
If Nipsey Hussle was still alive, I’d like to believe he would be in the @BitcoinNakfa Telegram group talking shit to shitcoiners 💬🇪🇷

The indigenous people of Canada have been resisting the spraying of Canadian forests with #RoundUp#Glyphosate#RoundUp is a Desiccant, it kills the herbs & broadleaved tree species so the commercial conifers can be easily harvested .
These are RoundUp fires #StopTheSpray
Denmark's new Carbon capture project will cost $3.84 billion, aims to reduce 34 Mt CO2e over 15-years and uses unproven tech
Bitcoin mining using Landfill gas reduces 35Mt CO2e in 4 years, cost taxpayers nothing, earns profit and uses existing tech

When you fully understand that the free market + technology is deflationary, you also fully understand all of the next steps/consequences of living and measuring your life from a system of inflation.

Well, we’re gonna have a Brazilian short story on 21 Futures, the upcoming new book by @KonsensusN. I’m really happy to announce that my short story was accepted for the book.
Thanks, @OmniFinn and Phil (I couldn’t find his @) for all the help and support that you guys gave me!
