Do you own every Witcher game? As a GOG affiliate you can support the content I make by purchasing games from them using my links. They frequently have sales and as I am writing this everything is around 80% off. Side note, I really love GOG (they are owned by CD Projekt Red) and I have made every video on my channel using a Witcher 3/2 copy I bought on their service. They also preserve a bunch of old games, making sure we can continue to play them even as our systems get more advanced. I really recommend them.

There were no established female Witchers in the books. None. It doesn’t need to be directly stated to imply the process applies to boys. That said, new methods can be developed and this is likely the case with Ciri, which isn’t a major issue. But implying that fans who disagree with a clear development of the lore are ‘weirdos’ or have never read the books is dishonest.

But yes Edward's is more engaging for me. Edward had a really interesting arc, going from esentially a criminal trying to make his way in the world, to an honourable assassin and ironically his son became the polar opposite; who from a young age followed his ideology and maintained it, aligning with the templars who see the world completely differently to the Assassins. It is the story of a son rebelling against his Father's (albiet less directly) path, which is a very typical and engaging archetype

Not really. Some people just like playing as an assassin vs. templar in a historical setting and don't like being taken out of the story every mission to walk around an office. I am simplifying this a little and I enjoy the future sections to a degree but for me it isn't such a massive issue; the original Kenway story still works without it
