After reigning for less than a decade, King Oswald of Northumbria was slain within the Welsh Marches in 642AD. Accoridng to lore, one of his severed arms was later seized by an eagle/raven who dropped it & caused a spring to emerge. This later became St. Oswalds Well

Yesterday was just pure magicโจ๏ธ, spending time with friends in ritual as well as exploring the land of Y Ddraig Goch๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ท๓ ฌ๓ ณ๓ ฟ.
My heart is full, my soul enriched, and my back put out for the rest of the week after a cheeky scorpion ๐๐ฆ

Harvest time in the Welsh Marches involved various celebratory traditions,some more mischevious than others. One of such included the Old sow where two men would dress in sacks filled with prickly plants like Gorse to barb anyone they approached or who got in their way #folklore
