@XXBasedRights It’s a LLTB violation. Identical to not paying rent. Police were called and couldn’t do anything. They were advised to deal with the LLTB.

@CamCassidy Yes, but within those 6 months if they sell they will probably still end up ahead if they are fined $20k. They could sell a clean, vacant property and before prices drop further.
+ they were problem tenants (not paying rent).
@kbessey@CamCassidy You could sell but with tenants that are paying well below market prices it makes it difficult to get a decent offer. Tenants will also try to Sabotage the sale.

5 year fixed rates have gone up by 1% due to bond yields over the past 2 months yet gets far less attention compared to the BoC rate announcements which impacts variable rates (that no one is signing up for). 🤷♂️
