The Coalition has spent the past decade denigrating Kevin Rudd's plan for faster internet. Today, they're enacting it... so it’s worth having a look at what the Liberals have said about fibre to the home over the years.

What a mega backflip on the part by Morrison. For 7 years they’ve botched my govt’s 2009 plan for fibre to the premises, instead wasting billions with fibre to the mythical “node”, giving us the worst speeds in the world. Now this! What total policy frauds https://t.co/aGCAI4H3pn
So Murdoch destroys media diversity by getting Morrison to defund the ABC, killing AAP & closing 224 local papers bought from APN; he now demands legislation to force other monopolies, Google & Facebook, to pay for Murdoch “content” & hand over algorithms #MurdochRoyalCommission
The ABC literally saved people's lives during the bushfires.
Now hundreds of ABC workers are losing their jobs – all thanks to seven years of Liberal and National cuts.
"America got to see what an actual offense against the First Amendment looks like," our TV critic @poniewozik writes after Omar Jimenez, a CNN reporter, and his crew, were arrested in Minneapolis. "It looked like world news footage from a police state." https://t.co/NZeNpi16XJ
Prime Minister @ScottMorrisonMP is calling for an investigation after 7NEWS reporter @AmeliaBrace and her cameraman were assaulted by police while covering the riots in the United States. #7NEWS https://t.co/avdLJq6z6t
For the first time since early July 2019, there is currently no active bush or grass fires in #NSW. That’s more than 240 days of fire activity for the state. #nswfires#nswrfs
This is the most positive news we've had in some time.
The recent rainfall has assisted firefighters to put over 30 fires out since Friday. Some of these blazes have been burning for weeks and even months.

McKenzie resigns over a $36,000 grant to a gun club she belonged to. The other $99.95 million in taxpayer funding - the majority of which was found to have ignored Sport Australia’s independent recommendations - was, technically speaking, not a contributor to her resignation.
It’s about time Bridget McKenzie resigned. But this scandal is bigger than one minister, and we still need to get to the bottom of these tawdry sports rorts.
They gave funding to sports clubs in marginal electorates before an election to buy their way into power.
When they were told it was dodgy, their own advisers were silenced.
This is the contempt this Government has for the Australian people. https://t.co/DSHDL2m6Q1
