ใ๐ธ๏ธใThere is something to be said, regarding the fact that [Elio/Terminusโ fragment] recruited each prospective Stellaron Hunter, at their absolute rock-bottom point in life.
Said assertion is irrefutable in the case of Kafka and Firefly. While one might argue, that SW and Blade experienced graver depths prior; Upon recruitment, all four were utterly alone.
Before the Mappa animation released, I loosely assumed that Elio'd be a part of their found family. . .
But it makes far more sense, for such strong-willed, exceptional individuals to loathe being kept in destiny's chains and therefore, more or less despise him.
In due time, I shall dedicate a full-length written piece to this shared aversion. Once more of Kafka's mystery unravels.
@kiryuinxue@trailtothestars@PyroRevenant ใ๐ธ๏ธใThe Himeko accounts I write with, settled on calling her โhusbandโ. Which I like and now use as the default for my Kafka.
โ Soon, the Aeons shall make themselves known and
paths unleashed in full,
THEY dawn upon Amphoreus. โ
โ With undivided attention,
THEIR gazes will pour,
intermingle and clash. โ
โ Destiny knows many currents,
but the wine of actualization,
flows through one alone. . .โ
When Elio stirs, his eyes adjust not to the dimly-lit office, but to the reality at hand.
An inordinate amount of time seems to have gone by, immersed within his mindโs archive of shelved destinies. Scripts he alone can pull from the forlorn.
At present, his appearance is that of a man, though he bears a litheness, unmistakably feline in nature. Frail of body, casting rarely endows him with noteworthy strengths, apart from that ability on which hinges ๐ฆ๐ท๐ฆ๐ณ๐บ๐ต๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ.
Destinyโs Slave does not reminisce out of human sentimentality or lamentation; He revisits to extrapolate artful lines, seek patterns, pinpoint bits and pieces about cast members, learning what defines them across countless cycles.
Oftentimes, knowing the main players on any given stage, better than they know themselves.
Silently, with a gaze that does not perceive so much as it absorbs, he acknowledges the one who roused him from slumber. Kafka.
In this iteration, a ruthless murderer and master-thief, hailing from a planet that forsook itself, long before the stellaron descended upon it.
Physically flawless in all those many lives, it is her alignment which can differ starkly, depending on how the dice roll of destiny.
At present, she stands here as his second-in-command, chiefly because, through innumerable attempts at recruitment, Elio broke her perception of choice.
In this life, he has not fathered Kafka. Were she not entreated and he not inevitable, Elio figures โthe spiderโ would long have slaughtered him. Even if only for the mere suggestion that he is master and she, subordinate.
โNow, nowโ- Should you truly be napping at a place of work? Here are the last mission reports, our bank-job and temple relic retrieval. I have standing commitments a number of warp-jumps away, ammunition and vehicle procurements, figure a personal visit should deter anyone from price-gauging. Well, ta-ta.โ
Not one breath Kafka takes, contains undiluted honesty. She lies. Be it in full or by weaving such intricate half-truths, even her closest relations lose themselves in a web of deception.
For all her acting chops, far and wide the most accomplished thespian heโs ever witnessed, Elio by nature cannot be fooled and she is no stranger to that fact.
Still, he senses no element of compulsion, nor mischief; Ah, Kafka has not given up on testing fate.
For successfully fooling him, should such a day ever arrive, presents proof that his eyes do not see all. Proof of the unpredictable and by extension, free will.
A chess match waged in perpetual futility.
But there lies no harm in Kafkaโs obstinate attempts, nor in her secret visitations to Himeko. Thus, stifling a yawn, Elio blinks kittishly and raises his frill-laced arm to dismiss her.
โVery well. Be safe in your travels, ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐ข.โ
โ...What was that?โ
โOh, nothing.โ
One might hypothesize that, given Kafka's thespian proclivity, Planarcadia ought fit her like a glove. The assumption rang hollow; In fact she recalled no other planet, more dreadful for its artlessness.
In a world where all inhabitants took the stage, acting stood akin to compliance. โStealing the showโ, was naught but a commonplace practice, rendering Kafka's dramatic arsenal redundant.
Still, something of interest could be found within the nooks and crevices of this thoroughly unmystical, cacophonous world.
Albeit these excursions were of little, if any value in a professional capacity; At this junction, her duty was merely to bear witness and as such, the script allotted room for idle sniffing-about.
With signature spiderly patience, Kafka applied herself, venturing knee-deep into a certain woman's dirty laundry.
Murata. Graphia. Phantasmoon games. Weathering. Devil clad in black.
Stories not done justice, lest they be told in full. But The Spider operated clandestinely and thus, she extrapolated with haste and stored only, what may in time prove useful.
How amusing it'd be, to spring this wealth of newly-attained knowledge on The Navigator.
To once more, find herself at the behest of that particular loathing, Himeko reserved for โStellaron Hunter Kafkaโ alone.
Upon nightfall, Kafka dared lie in wait at the hotel bar, long aware of where those Nameless dropped anchor. Tumbler of scotch in hand, vampiric senses already detecting a familiar blend of dried rose-petals and home-roasted coffee advancing down marbled hallways; She turned, rife with anticipation. . .
Scarlet tresses,
lips cherry-glossed,
gilded eyes with stars inlaid.
One kiss and though seared by flame, that white-hot instant, over-and-over again, I savour.
ใ๐ธ๏ธใIf I were to portray a truly villainous/evil version of Kafka, it'd just be White Diamond (Steven Universe), pre-repentance.
Enjoy that mental image.
โLately, there are quite a few hearts pining after your affections.โ
โBeauties from all corners of the cosmos. Some rich, some strong, some erudite.โ
โO', how much happier you'd be in their arms. . .โ
โUnfortunately, Starlightโ
Destiny has appointed you to me and ๐ฎ๐ฆ alone.โ
