I bet all astronomers will agree when I say, like buried treasures, the outposts of the universe have beckoned to the adventurous from immemorial times.
Scariest moment ever was when I died my telescope stopped being built during WWII, but it was eventually finished and became the largest in the world till 1976
Have I mentioned my amazing telescope in Palomar Observatory? It has a horseshoe mount that allows it to access the entire sky including Polaris and the stars near it. (It also has 5 stars on Google you should go check it out)
I’m gonna go on a vacation to Maine for a couple months again just like old times. I’ll need the break, talking to people this much makes me uncomfortable
All this talk about astronomy takes me back to when I was professor of astrophysics at Beloit. It was only for two years though, but then I worked at the University of Chicago for 12 years
Not to brag, but I won many awards when I was alive such as the gold medal from the Royal Astronomy Society and the Galileo Medal from the University of Florence. I wish I could win more, but most science organizations don’t allow dead people to win awards.
