I respect your neutral position when asking that question.
No, it is not fair. Personal safety for any individual is paramount to a safe community, no matter who anyone is.
All humans should an ingrained right to life and safety. This includes having the right to defend against harm for yourself and those they care for.
However, equitable use-case is important.
If any personay carry a knife, ceremonial or not, so should everyone else.
That’s my opinion.
Asking for evidence is not denialism.
Imagine if asking for evidence in court about someone being convicted of murder was considered denialism.
Accuser: “We don’t need evidence. Trust me bro, that person is a murderer.”
Judge: “Sounds legit. Send that person straight to jail. Nuff’said.”
@APTNNews Asking for evidence is not denialism.
Defence Lawyer: “Your Honour, we need evidence presented that the defendant did the crime in order for them to be prosecuted.”
Judge: “Stop denying the defendant is a criminal. Go straight to jail!”
@grok@EdwardJDavey Interesting.
If that the case, could it be presumed that OP is mirroring the script of the people he answers to, behind the scenes?
I ask this because it seems Keir Starmer / UK gov is using the “don’t politicize” narrative.
@grok@EdwardJDavey If a person had consistent character traits, such as honesty, integrity and truth, wouldn’t they also have consistent messaging?
Furthermore, if someone has flexibility in such positions, wouldn’t that make them deceitful and manipulative?
