— Nigerian man cr!es out after ₦200,000 was allegedly deducted from his account over a COVID-19 loan his uncle reportedly obtained using his details in 2020.

According to him, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, his uncle contacted him about a government COVID-19 support programme, telling him that some money would be sent to his account and asking him to give the uncle ₦150,000 as his share.

He said he specifically asked his uncle whether the money was a loan or a grant, but his uncle allegedly assured him that it was a grant.

However, while travelling days ago, he received a debit alert of ₦200,000 from his account. After investigating the deduction, he allegedly discovered that it was repayment for a COVID-19 loan obtained in 2020.
