@OhioRacingMedia In my opinion TF & FC racing has never been more competitive than it is today. I was never a fan of the move to 1'000 ft (or at least the description), but if the package results in better racing, less oil downs & most importantly safety, I'll take it 100% of the time over 1320'
I’ve always been a firm believer that you don’t have to be the smartest person in the room as long as you have access to those people
MY ADVICE TO YOUNGER RACERS IS THIS:
Treat everyone with respect. You never know who’s watching you and thinking about helping you out
Keep your friends diverse. You don’t need 7 friends that weld when ur motor is blown up and your dually needs brakes 😂
Keep it a two way street. You can’t keep taking from the pool without contributing to the pool. It will eventually go dry
Keep your shit clean. Very few successful people are slobs
Make sure you put in the work. The best way to repay people that help you out is by not disappointing them
I believe if you follow these steps ur chance of success improves greatly and u will walk around smiling more often than not, no matter what ur trying to accomplish 💯
@ByKyleMcFadden Proud of Garrett, both as a fan and a friend. He and his family represent themselves and their partners extremely well on and off the track.
@Dragracemayhem 2/2 on those days, Clay and the car has performed, they just happened to pair up against the best leaver who also made a solid pass. On a few of those losses, Clay had the 2nd or 3rd best RT in the session.
@Dragracemayhem I'm a Clay supporter so I'll throw this in as well (& to be fair, I don't track all the data), but he has lost to Justin a few times due to those holeshots, and often times on those runs, Clay's losing effort in that run would have beat just about every other car in the session.
@D_Elliott123@HordRaceWatcher@cfchangs9 Thank you. I think that at least helps make a case for anyone arguing the rule. It doesn't mean everyone agrees, but it lines up with what is written. As long as there is consistency, there can be a case made that there is no favoritism shown in a decision.
@HordRaceWatcher@cfchangs9@D_Elliott123 I didn't see the race so I'm only going off of what has been posted. Regardless of what the announcer said, did push trucks move all the cars to the work area in turn 4 indicating it was an "open red"? That would clear things up per this section of the attached written statement.
@matt_tifft Since you mentioned tacos, VP Race Fuels had The Funky Truckeria bring their food truck to the track one night for their guests. Everything they had was excellent. I think their restaurant is about 45 minutes from the track if you decide to venture out.
