The Greeks and (by extension Romans) always had fantastical recounts of any group they didn’t seem as comparable to them. That’s just how ancient history is.

Something has to be said if the greeks included Aethopians in greek myths.

It depended on the social relationships between the greek and said group for example Greeks and Egyptians or Nubians who the greeks had astound views
