@smerconish Maybe a bit cynical, but do you think, as a by-product of the war, this is a way that Trump can put his son-in-law in another situation where he can gain experience and exposure and prominence to groom him as the presidential candidate in 2028?
@dgoold I would keep playing the young kids. No need to showcase the “veterans” for trade purposes. Other teams already know what they can do too. No new answers health, ability, or waning skills.
@dgoold I’m very impressed (and pleasantly surprised) with the transition that Contreras has made to first base.
Not so impressed with Gorman’s return to his “home base.”
@dgoold I have felt more sorry for Oli this season, realizing how much his hands are tied by Mo and DeWitt.
But having said that, I think Oli should go too. Bring in an experienced field manager that the front office respects and will listen to. Teammates now feel the need to speak out.
@dgoold Maton and Detmers went to the same high school, Glenwood HS in Chatham, IL, just south of Springfield. BTW, also same high school as Jayson Werth.
@101espn@katiejwoo A lot. Definitely a different approach at the plate. Most notably with two strikes and driving the ball to the opposite field and up the middle. He’s even convinced Nado to do this. (Instead of just trying to pull everything!)
Now if he can help Walker and Winn.
@smerconish@VP Polling in the swing states is more important than national polls. I wonder what the polling is in the swing states regarding Harris being coronated vs. an open convention concept.
@vol_man12@miklasz Exactly correct. A waste to carry a third catcher for as rare as this would happen. Before we had a third catcher, I think it happened once in the first 33 games. ONCE.
@smerconish@NFL@CNN@cnni In watching NFL games this weekend, it seems there are many black coaches calling plays and formations. I’m assuming they are the OCs and DCs. I’m wondering if you did, or can do, a count/analysis of those.
