@JimElliott95607 @LeahLibresco @MartinSkold2 Yes, this is standard practice at many UK universities now. PhDs (ideally those more experienced) routinely take seminars. Sometimes you get the chance to lecture. It's good practice and CV boosting. And senior staff get more time for research (in theory).

@SandyofCthulhu We had the same problems in England in the past (like up until the 1940s). But then, like most European countries, we moved on to a system that was partly state-supported. I like my Dr and I can keep them (or swap to one nearby if I don't). You guys need to move on!

@SandyofCthulhu This is why fantasy games like D&D (and I guess some of the new old-school variations) are better - easier to run long campaigns. The opposite of horror games like Call of Cthulhu and Trail etc..
