This is a really important point by @nattyray11 if Al Fashir falls the identity of Darfur which has been predominantly Non Arab African throughout its history will be forcibly changed.
The process of ethnically cleansing African ethnicities from Darfur and bringing in Arab Nomads from across the Sahel will only accelerate.
Inside the Sudanese city where no filming is allowed.
Al Fashir is being suffocated to death. Rare footage sent to Sky News shows streets emptied of cars and people - with residents forced to eat animal feed to survive.

“El Fasher is no longer just a besieged city; it has become a mirror showing how greed can crush human conscience, and how the entire world becomes an accomplice when it chooses to watch hunger unfold and remain silent.” #KeepEyesOnSudan#AlFashir_is_starving
An IDP camp larger than most American cities has been 'obliterated' this week sending its 500,000 residents walking across the desert in search of safety. And it barely registers acknowledgement, let alone serious discussion about how to respond. Tragic. https://t.co/FCG82kE5Ee
Devastating. In addition to housing a treasure trove of ancient Nubian, Kushite, and prehistoric artifacts, Sudan's museum housed beautiful Christian frescos (8th-14th century) from the Cathedral of Faras, which was flooded by the construction of the Aswan Dam.
The Sudan National Museum in Khartoum reclaimed only to confirm that hundreds of priceless artefacts, mostly from ancient Nubia, were indeed looted and destroyed.
The building was a key barrack for the RSF for the last 22 months.
Data from Eurostat shows Kenya’s export of gum arabic jumped from 16,000 Kgs to 170,678 Kgs, worth Sh165.5B in 2023. Its now our third-largest export commodity🤣. But wait for it, do we produce even 5000Kgs of gum arabic? its all smuggled by RSF from Sudan to a Kenyan buyer
The USAID freeze has forced the closure of almost 80% of the emergency food kitchens set up to help people left destitute by Sudan's civil war, the BBC has learned. It is estimated that nearly two million people struggling to survive have been affected. https://t.co/3gpJ0xHgNz
Just as Sudan's army is finally winning the war against the RSF, the latter's international supporters including the UAE and Kenya are attempting to prolong the war by recognising the RSF - a militia led by genocidaires - as the country's legitimate government.
At Batha, 800 Chadians are implementing partitioned dike techniques associated with Zaï to reclaim degraded land.
