Carney called Alberta's separation referendum a “dangerous bluff.”

That is exactly the WRONG thing to say to a province that has spent ten years airing every grievance the Liberals wouldn't listen to.

When someone tells you they want out, you don't accuse them of bluffing.

You ask “what went wrong?”

And work on reconciling those differences.

Instead, Carney chose to call it a bluff.

It will be the most expensive misread of a room in this country's history.

This includes enforcing rules on what you can buy, where you can spend, and when “15-minute city” style geographic restrictions or blacklisting certain purchases

He’s saying AI isn’t just for chatbots or efficiency. It’s the perfect tool for the surveillance, predictive analytics, and an automated enforcement layer on top of digital money

I think he’s right. I also think it’s for the massive camera infrastructure being installed all over America with Flock

A biophysics grad was just detained under BC's Mental Health Act.

All based on a psychiatrist's opinion after observing him in a cafe.

He looked at him & said “I’m certifying you”

THAT’S ALL IT TOOK.

No warrant.

No on scene evaluation.

No psych evaluation.

No paperwork shown.

No chance to comply voluntarily.

Just because a psychiatrist saw him in a cafe.

Meanwhile, the same city has a documented drug addicts, where one person, has been
apprehended 79 times and is still on the street.

The government can grab a credentialed researcher off the road in 20 minutes but it can't keep a chronic offender out of the same intersection for more than a week?
