We are very proud to be able to display our blue plaque from the Railway Rail Heritage Awards, received in December 2022.
Thank you to Andy from @NRHAwd and Hélène from @NationalHways
Great to cycle to visit @Wolferton today, with Hélène Rossiter of @NationalHways, to celebrate the award of the NH-sponsored 2022 @nrhawd for works on a closed line to Richard Brown for his restoration of the station & its signal box.
It's time to support Kings Lynn station, and vote for the station's local business! The local county line cafe has made it to the final of the Rail Delivery Groups, World Cup of stations!

A visit to the Royal Station at Wolferton last month did not disappoint. In private ownership now, it’s a wonderful example of best practice heritage restoration. So much LNER and GER examples and detailing to learn from. Do visit if you get the chance.
A very royal station Wolferton.
In Feb 1862, Sandringham was purchased for the young Prince of Wales (King Edward VII).
3rd Oct 1862 Wolverton station opened, in 1863 it was renamed Wolferton Station sadly the station closed on 5th May 1969.
Now it's a private residence.
Today's #OnlineArtExchange by @artukdotorg theme is Colour for @KettlesYard's exhibition Megan Rooney: Echoes and Hours! 🌈
We have this brightly-coloured postcard of a piece by artist Peter Annable of Wolferton railway station when King Alfonso of Spain visited in 1907.
Date for your diary folks - the launch of The Royal Station Master's Daughters in Love will be held at 2pm on Sat, 27th April at King's Lynn library.
Today I met their wonderful manager, Mary, to plan it. She is as excited as I am about it! @Wolferton@NorfolkLibs@KingsLynnLive
This one is 1979 - no doubt most will recognise the location. Its Wolferton ten years after the good Doctor's remedy had took full and final effect - trains no more of course! We used to go to Heacham in the 60s thus it was sad to see this.
@Shahtech915572 Fancy running Wolferton station in 1925 when the Windsor family arrived en route to Sandringham. At least the station master got a darn good house. https://t.co/QJzumLEN3h
@Wolferton it was an absolute pleasure to take a short detour today to have a quick drive by peek at The Royal Station one of the UK’s rail architectural gem #MrRichardBrown & family
This review of The Royal Station Master's Daughters #WWI#royal trilogy set at @Wolferton made me chuckle: "I'm about half way through, and it is a very enjoyable read, even for a non Royalist like myself." https://t.co/cWgBls9CHW
If you are free for on Friday afternoon I would love your company in #Soham#cambs I shall be talking about my writing life and The Royal Station Master's Daughters series, inspired by a real #royal station master and his family @Wolferton#WW1#sandringham#gallipoli
