Just went to Desi Yew Tree in Wolverhampton with the family. Have been coming here for years but not for food. It was well seasoned and tasty and Pete was a fantastic host. MasterChef weren't wrong to come here.

Planning a trip to The Big Chippy in Lower Formal next week with the owner of @AcropolisCorner. There to see what a 30 year master of the fish and chip trade thinks of a UK Top 50 place.

Have to be honest with you all and say that Jeffcock chippy were on point this Saturday with their freshly cooked fish and chips but the Donner meat was undercooked as usual.

Visited Monsoon Catering. The vegetarian samosas were great. Hot and not oily. The price is insanely cheap too.

Domino's Pizza in Penn is not up to it. Their food was expensive and hard to digest.
The 500ml bottle of Fanta was as expensive as a 2l bottle from across the road from Tesco's Express.

@AcropolisCorner owner has been out and about the Finchfield area of late and had several meals at the Chestnut pub. She sad the staff were attentive and the food was value for money. Unlike Bella Italia in Bentley bridge which had excellent food but poor pushy servers.

Had another disappointing meal from Jeffcock Chippy. We were their rivals when the Acropolis was a Fish Bar but our quality was out of this world with queues around the block. @AcropolisCorner owner Mrs D'hôte was the best you've ever seen. She's the reason I Eat out.

Been going to a very reasonably priced Muslim pizza place on Broad Street in Wolverhampton. The staff were nice enough but not the other diners. £6.50 for two cans of drink, dip and a chicken and mushroom 9 inch. Can you do better?

So these pizzas from Monsoon Catering is not quite what I expected. Although hot the addition of garlic and flat leafed parsley to the desi one was not appreciated by the Spanish Queen who also thought there was too much salt.

Am trying Monsoon Catering Owen Road's veggie and desi non veg pizzas tonight. Have just seen one very satisfied customer with a family to feed. I've gone for two large let's see how they go down with Carlos and the Spanish Queen 👑

Since I've returned to being a meat eater I've not ventured near too many hamburgers. I'm going to be trying a rustlers two pack cheese burger for the shop as storage will be easy. Competition for Rusty's, 246 Jeffcock Rd, Pennfields, Wolverhampton WV3 7AH.
