The world cannot claim to stand for equality while Afghan women continue to face systematic exclusion. Their struggle for freedom & dignity demands unwavering global attention, political will & meaningful change.
#AfghanWomen#HumanRights
We urge the UN and the international community to turn concern into action, pursue accountability and centre Afghan women’s rights in all engagement on Afghanistan. Their rights are non-negotiable.
For Afghan women, protecting spaces is about more than preserving organizations. It is about keeping independent thought, solidarity, and civic life alive.
Women Unity for Change welcomes the ICC’s decision to unseal arrest warrants against four Taliban leaders. We call for action to enforce the warrants & deliver justice for Afghan women & girls. Their rights, dignity, & freedom must be protected.

Powerful meeting urging the world to break its deafening silence around the gender apartheid in Afghanistan. The plight of women and girls demands our action—their voices must be heard.
Afghan women are not only raising concerns. They are bringing solutions to the table. Their perspectives must be taken seriously. @AsilaA@SR_Afghanistan@UN#UNGA81
Asila Wardak of the Women’s Forum on Afghanistan called on the OIC to establish a permanent mission in Kabul to monitor and respond to rights violations.
“Influence requires presence,” Wardak said at a UNGA side event on Afghanistan.
She also urged greater investment in Afghanistan’s youth, warning that prolonged exclusion from education, employment and civic life could fuel radicalization and create broader security risks.
At high-level side event on the margins of #UNGA81@AsilaA brings forward a call that reflects the demands of Afghan women & girls: for their rights, participation, education & justice to remain at the center of decisions about Afghanistan’s future.
