It was suggested Sangita was pulled off air due to falling listener figures, not because of her interview with Israeli government spokesperson Avi Hyman on April 14. Although many will of course believe it’s more than just a coincidence she was pulled off air right after the interview aired.

Disregarding that argument, Sangita grew her reach by 12.5% to 465,000 in the most recent round of listening figures.

LBC’s lack of care towards even acknowledging is distasteful. This compounded by the fact it’s happened to one of the stations only female presenters of colour and (so I’m told) it was said ‘nobody would notice she’s gone’ makes this whole situation with LBC and Global smell of horse shit.
