The right thing for the @IndiGo6E CEO and PR teams to do was to acknowledge the mistake with a larger heart and apologise. Instead they try to spin the usual PR web and canned statements how they are a special needs friendly company! When talk doesnt meet the walk!

And the @IndiGo6E CEO defended the act. We need leaders with more empathy and conviction to do the right thing, moving beyond narrowly defined protocols. The recent Indigo incident was a classic case of staff following rules without using human judgement.

@KushalSeth14 @thee2610 @LearnersBucket ATSs provide a match score - yes. But good recruiters know that the right candidate is beyond that score and they are tuned to pick out signals and keys from the diversity and quality of experience skimming through a resume.

Candidates who are not a match for 1 position could be a good fit for another or might be a good lead to nurture for future. Match scores don't help here! 5/n

@thee2610 @LearnersBucket ATSs don't reject resumes! Rather it would be legally non-compliant in many countries if a system did that. Some ATSs rank candidates on keywords, but most recruiters disregard that and spend time actually reading a resume. This myth that ATS rejects resumes should be busted!
