When we minted our Goon avatars in Aug '21, we promised our community we'd build a fun web3 game.

That measly bear market that ensued shortly after was not going to be enough to break our credibility.

A promise means through thick or thin.

2+ years in this space is a lifetime. It would be impossible to try and sum up the blood, sweat, tears in just a few milestones. But, let's cover some anyway.

The first Goon Wars battle ever recorded was on June 3rd 2022 at 16:37:59 - Our game was officially alive!!

Since then:
> 50 seasons have been played.
> 100,000 games have been battled.
> 5,000 unique prize winners were paid.
> 8000 custom decks have been created
> 8,000 unique accounts were registered.
> 20,000 unique NFTs were given as prizes.

Many in our community often say, "this is just the beginning".

Not only do we agree, we promise they're right.

One of our mods and the most loyal of supporters, Oz is a great guy first and foremost. He has an attention to detail that many miss, and you would think he never sleeps

Oz joined our mod squad some months ago and he's helped with the cleanup of our socials and website. He's given countless ideas toward the betterment of our project, and he's even learned to edit short videos from scratch like a boss!

You've probably seen him all across X, spreading the Goonish word while networking to learn about your own favorite projects - that's just the standup guy he is.

Today, we tip our hats to Oz.

It wouldn't be the same without you sir🫡

*Fun fact - Oz owns the rarest Goon in the GOB collection, Lava Chad, and he doesn't even rock it as his pfp!

Our leaderboard has evolved constantly since inception, and we're not done innovating.

We've had over 5,000+ unique winners.

We've given away 20,000+ unique NFTs in prizes!

We've seen the rise of 2 strong guilds - Jungle and Yakuza...Now, there's stirrings of another building in Balatroon!

Congratulations to the top grinders. We've monitored your hard work, your progress, and your skill level increases.

Today we look back on all of this, but also look forward to the next stages.
