@sylabdul Masters of the Universe was pretty good, felt like the old cartoon, felt like return of the Jedi at parts and it wasn’t a man bashing woke sermon, instead it’s messaging celebrated masculine strength and how it’s used to protect. It was very good.
@BlackMajikMan90 I didn’t start seeing commercials on tv/streaming until like 2 weeks ago. Hopefully word of mouth gives this film strong legs here in the states, it was really good
@jondelarroz That being said I really liked it a lot. The film felt like the cartoon I grew up with and at least once during the film it felt a lot like Return of the Jedi.
@jondelarroz There is a narrative about masculinity which is kinda the through line of the film but it never really goes fully woke, the opposite really. That sometimes a man has to do what he must to protect the ones/things he loves. That sometimes actions is required over words
@Fe1ipeDeivison Inspired by comics, sure faithful to comics kinda but not so much, gorgeous no. I’ve never been a fan of this amalgamation suit, wish they would have adapted 1 suit. Lex’s suit I’ll have to see in the film. I imagined it more streamlined and less hammer of Boravia
@TheFilmJunkee In the original cartoon Adam is mad buff the. He becomes he-man and the difference is that his hair is dark and his tan is so dark he thought he turned black when I was a kid
