This past Wednesday, we honored two of my remarkable seniors commit to Division 1 athletics at their chosen post-secondary institution. Abigail Wiese and Loretta Santora, I am incredibly proud of both of you and look forward to witnessing what the future holds for you!

Today, MHS students visited Lincoln Technical Institute’s Mahwah Campus. Lincoln Tech is a vocational training institute that offers high-quality training programs such as the Automotive, Skilled Trades, Health Sciences, Culinary and much more!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to them for their involvement in the event. As well as to the athletic department from MHS, including Mr. Young and Mr. Cancellaro, for their partnership!

On Wednesday night, we began the evening with a presentation by Mr. Brennie, the Assistant Athletic Director at Vassar College, who shared insights about the NCAA. He was accompanied by Sabrina Hartless, a Financial Aid Specialist from SUNY Ulster, who shared the process of FAFSA

College and Career Week is in full swing. Today we, along with many student participants, celebrated Troop Tuesday. Paying respect to all the prospective students deciding to volunteer to serve after high school!

Today we embarked on a journey of discovery and inspiration with our unforgettable college trip to Mount Saint Mary and Western Connecticut University! 🎓 From campus tours to interactive sessions with admission counselors and college students, today was about igniting passions.

The entire week, we celebrated the hard work and dedication of Mrs. Brennan, as part of the Assistant Principal Week. There were various activities planned for the occasion, but one of the most enjoyable moments was when we acknowledged the fact that she is not an average AP.

During the days leading up to spring break, MHS participated in another NPFH lesson. In the activity, students were encouraged to identify their own biases and stereotypes. The aim was to help them understand how such biases affect their relationships with others in our community

As a token of appreciation, we threw a surprise celebration for our School Social
Worker, Mrs. Vigeant, and Student Assistance Counselor, Mrs. Harden. With their contributions to the school community, we as a team have been able to positively impact the culture of our building.

Today’s No Place For Hate activity involved a visit to Siena College. Where colleagues and students worked together to identify ways to oppose prejudice. Including participation in anti-bias workshops, where everyone got a chance to highlight acts for change.

MHS is taking part in a new initiative called “No Place For Hate”. Our MHS community has committed to a student created pledge that cultivates student leadership, unity in our school community, and inspires students and staff to become more effective allies.
