Oliver smiled softly, tightening his arm around her as he looked down at her.
“Aye. That's a fair arrangement, so it is.”
He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
“I've missed this. And I've missed you.”

“Been here, mostly. Life's just been a bit hectic.”

Oliver had been under the impression that he was having a perfectly quiet afternoon.
Tea made, biscuit acquired. Five minutes of peace before the rest of the world remembered he existed.
