It's actually way simpler than the industry makes it sound. There are really just 4 main stages you need to understand, and each one serves a specific purpose in your startup journey.

🥾 First is Bootstrap — This is where it's just you and your own money, maybe with a little help from friends or family. You're keeping costs low, building the first version of your product, and testing if it's wanted.

🌱 Next is Pre-Seed — You've got a basic product or prototype. You might raise small funds from angels or incubators to test the market and get early feedback. It's all about proving there's a real need before going bigger.

🌿 Then comes Seed — You've launched something, a few people are using it, and you can see potential. At this stage, angel investors or small VC funds might give you money so you can hire a small team, improve your product, and grow faster.

🚀 Finally, Series A — By now, you've got strong traction — people are using your product, you're making money, and growth is steady. Bigger VC firms come in at this stage to invest larger amounts so you can scale quickly, reach more customers, and really accelerate.
