The journey, the pain, every single stepβit was all for you. This wasnβt a race; it was a chance to raise money and help prevent others from going through what we did when we lost you.
I hope youβre proud, Uncle David.

My Story
Iβm running the London Marathon 2026 for Pancreatic Cancer UK β in memory of my Uncle David
In September 2024, my wonderful Uncle David was diagnosed with Stage 2 pancreatic cancer. It was a moment that changed everything for our family.
This cause is incredibly close to my heart. If youβre able to donate β no matter how big or small β it would mean the world to me and my family. Every pound raised brings us one step closer to change, and one step further from the heartbreak that so many families like mine face.
Thatβs why Iβm running the London Marathon in 2026 β to honour his memory, to raise awareness of this devastating illness, and to support Pancreatic Cancer UK in their vital work to improve early diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately survival rates.
Despite everything, Uncle David showed immense strength, but just five weeks later β before he even had the chance to see Christmas β he passed away. Pancreatic cancer took him far too soon, and left a hole in our lives that can never be filled.
It was aggressive, inoperable, and terminal. We were told he likely had only eight weeks to live. Our hearts broke.
We watched the disease take its toll day by day, minute by minute. It was cruel and unforgiving.
. We were terrified, but we held onto hope β hope that treatment would work, that time was on our side, and that his strength would carry him through.
But just a few short weeks later, in October, we were given the devastating news that the cancer had progressed to Stage 4.
