We have had a wonderful first week in Reception. It has been lovely meeting all of the new children and families. We are so proud of how well the children have settled in and we are looking forward to a magical year of learning together @WoodhillEYFS@WoodhillSch
The children were brilliant at sports day. They showed such good teamwork and the families were also lovely at cheering everybody on. Also a big shout out to the year sixes for their kindness and the caring way they coached and supported the nursery children throughout.Well done!
It was wonderful to celebrate our learning from Arts Fortnight with our families today at our parade. During Arts Fortnight we explored the theme of diversity through different cultural celebrations. Thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate with us 💚 @WoodhillSch

The children in nursery are exploring their own special and unique beauty by painting their self portraits. They have also discussed in Talk Partners what they like that is different about their friends.
The job of hoovering in the home corner is a big hit! They want to hoover the whole nursery also. Catherine is looking after baby and making sure she's fed.
This week we have been counting in 2s. We have made our own number lines to practise. We have jumped, hopped and even tried counting backwards @WoodhillMaths
We have been exploring the theme of peace and conflict through the text, The Squirrels Who Squabbled by @RBrightBooks and @_JimField. This week we have drawn story maps and created actions to help us to retell the story 📖🐿🌳 @WoodhillOracy @WoodhillEng
