In order to fully address the issues facing our local schools, it's helpful to understand some history and how we got here with various public education policies, school funding, etc.

As HB305 did not survive the last legislative effort, it's been resurrected as HB1. Once again, the challenge will be in the Senate, please let Senators @kristinaroegner and Sykes know we need fair funding for public education now.
Woodridge tax payers, we've been advocating for fair funding, this is an excellent step forward. Please read the details of HB305 and if you support it, reach out to @kristinaroegner and kindly urge her to support #FairFundingNow
Well now. THIS is interesting. This school year, the bottom has fallen out of the #EdChoice voucher program. Usually about 95% of students who are awarded the voucher take it and go to their private school. However, this year, the percentage has plummeted to 73%. Why is this? 1/5
Your respectful persistence will eventually pay off. The legislature is there to make the rules but the will of the people is meant to guide them.
Have you contacted @kristinaroegner
yet today?
Senator Vernon Sykes has already co-authored SB376.

@MikeMcGuire6 Agreed! But still not there yet, we need to get the Senate to act. Be sure to share your support to encourage @kristinaroegner to get it passed by the Senate.
To follow up on my earlier thread, here is the average property tax rate for Ohio homeowners since 1986. As you can see, it started climbing in the late 80s. 1/3
Woodridge Community, an excellent summary of what HB 305 means to Ohio communities. Now is the time to reach out to @kristinaroegner to encourage her to look out for Ohio property owners and education. 2 decades of unconstitutional school funding is long enough.👇🏼 #fairfundingnow
Pardon the length of this thread, but now that #HB305 has passed the OH House Finance Committee, I think it's important to see what failing to address school funding for 30 years has done to our communities during that time period. Let's start with our major urban areas. 1/13

Thank you voters for your continued support and the passage of issue 43.
Next step is getting the Senate to adopt House Bill 305, a worthy step forward in the current unconstitutional school funding model that exists today.
Reach out to Senator Roegner to support HB 305.
@WHSLadiesSoccer@woodridge Great group of ladies! Thanks to everyone who could help!

Vote “Yes” on issue 43! NOT a new levy!
