4 years ago today I had my last ever shift as a nursing student.
Today I got my results for the PGcert I’ve been undertaking for the past 12 months in Critical Care Nursing.
Passed ✅
I wonder what the next 4 years will bring ❤️

Nursing student!!!! I need some help for a teamwork chapter in my clinical placements book.
I am looking for a quote on “what compassionate leadership means to me” what do you think? @RCNStudents@RCNNRN @pauljebb1 @AgencyNurse@150Leaders@leadership_log
Nursing student Elisha missed the UCAS deadline so applied through clearing.
If you've not applied to uni yet, clearing is an opportunity to find a course starting this September.

Healthcare professionals. I need your help.
I have just been told that platelets should never be administered through a pump.
“Because it damages the platelets”
1. Is this true?
2. I need evidence either way.
Thank you.

Can't believe a release date is finally here- thank you to everyone involved!
Especially @AgencyNurse for her colleagueship and patience and @NursingElsevier for trusting me to help shape the first book of a invaluable series for nursing students.

Am I alone in thinking it is wrong for consultants to strike? Nurses, paramedics, junior doctors, yes, they are just ‘workers’ but consultants are senior leaders, just like senior managers. They demean themselves by striking.
Over 100,000 nursing staff voted for further #RCNStrike action in England, but harsh laws imposed on trade unions mean we have not met the threshold needed for a mandate to be achieved.

Question: At your trust what is the policy re NG feed. Is it a one nurse check? Do you have to have it checked when stopping and starting it?
Particularly interested in ITU settings.

@nursingnoodle And you know me Em. I need tea. @YorkshireTea specifically and sometimes that’s not even available 🤷🏼♀️😱 I’ll need to start bringing my own supply….
As if working for the NHS wasn’t hard enough at the moment, what with all the pressure, press & all - after an “audit” our department is no longer allowed milk.
YES. MILK 🥛.
Want to make a cuppa at work? Tough. No milk.
Sacrilege.
Nightshift people: After a run of night shifts how do you rate yourself on the “Clumsiness Scale”?
‘0 - I am ok” to “10 - pouring boiling water into your cornflakes’
Thanks in advance.
From a very tired - barely safe to be in public - nurse.
