@JulieAnneGenter@GeorgeKCampbell Julie Anne what is needed on Thorndon Quay in respect of current cycling numbers and safety is at peak only. Clearways and separated Cycleways at Peak, would have been fair. What has been done is mega, and its unreasonable! Act in an unreasonable manner, and you'll get pushback
@NZStuff@malosilima When you stuff up in such a monumental manner, any contingencies for the unforseen go out the window. Both GWRC and Waka Kotahi have a lot to answer for!
@dianecalvertnz $3OO,000.oo for The Ghel Report and another $250.000.oo spent on consultants regarding the Cobham Drive Pedestrian crossing. That's an enormous spend. We probably could have a pretty decent pedestrian cycling bridge across Cobham Drive for that amount of money!
@RebeccaJEmm Why then mention only three Councillors? For the record it was an 8-6 vote, with the others who voted with the four Crs named, Mayor Foster, Deputy Mayor Free, Cr Young, Cr Calvert and myself. Voting for Cr Condie were Crs Day, Matthews, Foon, Fitzsimmons, O'Neill and Condie.
