And FOOTBALL IS BACK!
Getting the season under way slightly late due to a last min PP yesterday (no ref) but a good derby game against our friends @WooltonRossi
2-2 first half and couldn't be prouder of the boys
2nd half tired legs and Rossis quality shone through.
@WooltonJuniorFC
A smart watch was found on Phill Gibbons yesterday after the first games had finished. If anyone is missing it can you drop me a DM π
@WooltonJuniorFC π― weekend for the lads!
Two brilliant performances taking the training ground routines on to the pitch.
Quick 1-2 football moving the ball quickly looking to play in runners, releasing the ball quicker.
Resulting in 2 very well deserved victorys.
π€― 1.5 million boys play organized youth football in England and only ~180 will be signed professionally by a Premier League Club.
A success rate of 0.012%
@WooltonJuniorFC
Today the lads did turn up and put in a top performance
Playing @halewoodtownu14 who are always a competitive team and created chances of their own
The lads started off well challenged when not in position & played some good football when we did Isaac scoring 3
Another weekend more GRF
Saturday we played Dunnes Roofing FC.
In all honesty we didn't really turn up. We scored a good goal but the only real positive from the match.
We can not let that happen again.
@WooltonJuniorFC
Finding it hard to hold my tongue on this!
My lads will let their football do the talking!
What's app chats and social media posts get a grip it's GRF!
Shout outs to Issac and Ant who won this week's Sat/Sun MOTM awards for goals scored and overall work effort and passion.
Also to the lads who went in goal both days without our regular keeper
Picked by all the boys playing rock paper scissors π€£ the 2 losers played a half each
Back at it again this weekend yesterday against a well drilled @FazRangersU14
We took the lead but Rangers did well didn't lose their cool and regrouped to take the lead back.
2nd half I felt was closer and loads of battles going on all over the pitch.
Well done Rangers π
Today we played a derby against @WooltonBaresi@WooltonJuniorFC
Baresi came out the traps and controlled the opening stages and we had to rally together to keep them out.
We then got a foot into the game and let our football work
The game really came down to finishing in the end
π¨ Steven Gerrard taking Al-Ettifaq training. π
Already looks like he's struggling with the language barrier. π€£
Patience is key. π https://t.co/xmjCwPXqK3
@WooltonJuniorFC@WooltonBaresi
Nice to see when your whole ethos of GRF comes together in one video.
One of our lads watched his mates in Baresi win their SF shootout & ran on to celebrate with them before playing our final.
This is what it's all about cups are just a bonus!
@WooltonJuniorFC@WooltonBaresi
Both sides were a credit to Woolton today. Both made finals Baresi making the CL final narrowly losing on pens. We managed to turn our game from 1-0 down with the last kick of the game to 1-1 and won on pens.
Well done to all the lads today.
Fantastic morning playing at the @FazakRangers@FazRangersU14 tournament
All the games were very competitive and tough well done to everyone involved.
Big shout out to the people involved with organising it and the Refs.
@WooltonJuniorFC Well done to the boys today came out winners of the @FazakRangers Europa cup.
Rode our luck in places started slow but really worked hard for each other.
Things learnt from today we can improve on but also showing when we play we play well!
