Everything changes, nothing changes. Over the last two seasons the team has grown, we've developed and we done that with stability and fair play. But we are changing (1)
U12s football. His first time at u12s by the way. Coaches expecting perfection. Anyway I remain proud of him, these games are important so he can see what whoppers are in the game and how he can be better when he is a team coach (his aspiration).
No game this weekend for us. Despite not feeling great after a week of recovering from a school trip to Germany, coaching at summer camp 2 full days and referring all day Thursday, my son gave up his time to ref two u12 league games in the CPL.
Second game, not at all over physical, but one bad challenge where a yellow was given. But a constant whinge at him then keeping him back at the end to have another go. I can see the switch where he won't bother in the future. 40 kids wont have a game.
Training Monday and Wednesdays with specialist keepers. 5 weeks back no fears and keeper of the week tonight in the pouring rain. Confidence is on the rise. Celebrate your keepers.
In June my boy had major surgery on his stomach, he sat in consultant chats where the big C was mentioned if he didn't have his op. Now he's coming out stronger than ever.
1st official match refereeing today for Charlie. What a place to start, him being a huge blue, at Finch Farm for Everton u10s vs TNS. Confident on the whistle, letting the game flow, communicating with coaches and players. Covered virtually every blade of grass. Proud to watch.
1st game as u16s, great to get a winning start playing good football.
Turn over in grassroots is mad, 4 remain from our 1st ever game when we started at u13s.
For a few reasons we could be down on numbers. Open to experienced players looking for a new team. @WooltonJuniorFC
Anyone needing a ref let me know - my son (15) newly qualified looking for games to get some practise in and earn money for his school trip in Autumn. Registered with LCFA.
We're looking for a centre forward for Saturday's and Sunday's in the CPL and Tuebrook leagues.
On offer: a really good bunch of kids, with no egos and great attitudes; coaches who coach in the right way; parents who enjoy the line (the right side of a healthy blood pressure).
First game done (since qualifying), good feedback too from the manager (great with the players, talked them through the match & made it clear and fun). Then straight to team training, my boy loves his football.
Really good football festival today that my team took part in and 'won'* our year event. Great mini football games & workshops on eating well, preparing well and sleeping well.
Thanks for a great afternoon & a well organised event (plus great food at the end) @EnglandFootball
Newly qualified ref (my 15 yr son), affliated to LCFA, is looking for games to officiate in the next few weeks, 5v5 to 9v9 games to get ready for next season. Send me a DM if you have any games coming up.
He's also a budding coach and looking for opportunities there too.
Proud boast for a special group of kids that make this team. Today our Sunday group played exceptionally well to win the @HalewoodTownJFA U15s Cup on pens. Our first, maybe last, achievement as a team; and made up for everyone single one of them. @WooltonJuniorFC
Looking for a couple of mid level players to try us out, as we move to u16s and need to boost our smallish squad. Play Saturday and Sundays and a summer league lined up.
