@GlennGr17517162@BasilTheGreat@Moreincommon_ Your comment seems good at first read, voters had nothing to do with it. Brexit, public attitude was against it but Politicians betrayed the voters and the Fabians the activists woven into establishment changing policy from within. Voters have been ignored.
@JChimirie66677 It's only under discussed in public.
My suspicion that discussions of how well the project of producing a generation reliant upon the state and therefore controlled by the state happens all the time.
@KingBobIIV Computer says Nah! Remember that? Well now we have AI! So it's only going to get worse. HMRC digital tax etc they will single dissenters out.
@freethinker967@RanTeeThree Yes but but you seem focused on High St spending. If the wealthy are taxed they cannot spend on production facilities. If I used the word invested that would invite a different set of attitudes?
@JChimirie66677 Every time I open X I read something that parallels fiction, mostly 1984 seems to fit but sometimes it's so unbelievable it becomes comic, a country slowly turning into Gotham where is ๐ฆ ๐ถ?
@JChimirie66677 Analysis is great but the mentality of British voters is more similar to 'the unions think he's a good bloke so I think he's a good bloke'. No thought, no research simply follow the flock.
@RanTeeThree@danielanadj77 Religion is not an ethnicity, and is it really possible to suggest that ethnicity is real because of their land when all other experiences are shared?
Do not lecture me about protecting children while people caught abusing children walk free with suspended sentences.
Do not tell me a 21 year old throwing a traffic cone deserves years in prison while child abusers, rapists and groomers routinely receive more lenient treatment.
If protecting children were really the priority, the harshest sentences would be reserved for those who harm children, not those who embarrass the government or cause public disorder.
A justice system reveals its priorities through punishment, and too often it appears that offences against the state are treated more seriously than offences against children.
The public can see that, and that is why confidence in the system is collapsing.
