This is the official X account of Word Cafe With Sam, a weekly series of Bible teachings aimed at edifying the body of Christ and equipping the saints.
SPEAKING SOLEMNLY
Anyone living in sexual sins (fornication, adultery, pornography, etc), has no place in Christian ministry. Immorality is a very big deal, scripturally. The believer's BODY is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Yes, the BODY. Therefore, what you do with God's dwelling place must be of colossal significance. Don't you see it?
And, because of the sacredness of Christian ministry, while you can legitimately be a struggling Believer for a season, you cannot be a struggling minister, if the struggle is that you have not overcome sexual immorality. In this regard, the category of a struggling minister does not exist, biblically considered.
This is not about being a "wounded soldier." But in any case, if a soldier takes a bullet during combat, we don't hand him over to the enemies, yes. And we also don't leave him in the frontline to continue fighting – with his wound. We take him out and away for treatment. Whether he can even return to active duty later on depends on the severity/impact of the 'wound' sustained and the assessment of the team managing his case. Taking him out of combat is a responsible act of love and not a case of "condemning our own."
Back from the digression. It is alien to the spirit of Christ, to say someone is a minister of the gospel, even though he commits immorality. The practice of immorality cannot coexist with legitimate practice of ministry. A fornicator or an adulterer is not a Minister. Cannot be.
A minister of the gospel MUST be above reproach. People MUST be safe under his care. Money, too, MUST be safe under his care. The bible insists that he sustains a high level of integrity – morally, ethically, socially.
This is why the Charismata, the gifts of the Spirit are never mentioned as qualification or eligibility for ministry. Check the texts.
So, the practice of equating giftedness with eligibility for ministry is unbiblical and should be discouraged. Being a gifted speaker, for instance, does not qualify anyone for Christian ministry. If you know all the Rhema in the book, and all the historic fine points of orthodoxy, but you're an intermittent fornicator/adulterer, you are ineligible for Christian Ministry. You need to be discipled, you should not be discipling anyone, at all.
Read the passage below carefully, to the very last verse, please: It says a Pastor:
"...must be a good man whose life cannot be spoken against. He must have only one wife, and he must be hard working and thoughtful, orderly, and full of good deeds. He must enjoy having guests in his home and must be a good Bible teacher. He must not be a drinker or quarrelsome, but he must be gentle and kind and not be one who loves money. He must have a well-behaved family, with children who obey quickly and quietly. For if a man can’t make his own little family behave, how can he help the whole church? The pastor must not be a new Christian because he might be proud of being chosen so soon, and pride comes before a fall. (Satan’s downfall is an example.) Also, he must be well spoken of by people outside the church—those who aren’t Christians—so that Satan can’t trap him with many accusations and leave him without freedom to lead his flock"
On the last point above, many people who work in Hotels don't take the church seriously because the see the behind-the-scenes lifestyle of Pastors. A minister must have one life, must be not be two-faced. And he must be an example to both insiders and outsiders.
If the church is weak, Satan is only a remote cause. If the church is weak anywhere, the church is the reason why.
And now, may the glorious Lord of the church step into this seeming perpetual desolation, and pour us the blessing that is Revival.

@CaptainIzzy01@marshalwahlexyz The information is there...
"25 Brigade was tasked to occupy pre-designated ambush positions ahead of Azir Bridge to cut off and neutralize the fleeing terrorists"
"...concerted efforts are being intensified to track down escaping elements and deny them freedom of movement."
Nna, Nigerian influencers are not beating the allegations of being loud and uninformed.
If this obtuse take is all you got from reading that press release, then there's a serious problem.
Worst case, you are just farming impressions... Let's believe that's what you are doing.
Just read this post.
And please read it with a brain.
Over 300 terrorists faced the Army.
There was shooting for 2hours.
Now this is where it gets interesting:
300 terrorists shooting at Army for 2 hours and the Army overpowered them.
Yet NO arrests made.
NO terrorists injured. NO terrorists killed.

Read again pls.

“The New Testament Writers Never Met Jesus; Therefore the Gospel Is Lost”
A Muslim claim examined, answered, and debunked.
1. The Claim Is Historically False
A. Several New Testament authors did meet Jesus personally
1. Matthew — Direct disciple; eyewitness.
2. John — Direct disciple; closest disciple; eyewitness.
3. Peter — His teachings undergird Mark’s Gospel; eyewitness.
4. James — Brother of Jesus; leader of the Jerusalem church; eyewitness of the resurrection.
5. Jude — Brother of Jesus; eyewitness.
6. Mark — Early disciple, companion of Peter; wrote Peter’s eyewitness account.
7. Luke — Companion of Paul; interviewed eyewitnesses directly (Luke 1:1–4).
This alone destroys the claim that “none of the writers ever met Jesus.”
B. The claim only succeeds by ignoring… well… history.
The NT was written between AD 45–90, within a single generation of the events.
This is why even atheist historians like Bart Ehrman and non-Christian scholars affirm:
“The New Testament contains the earliest and most reliable sources for the historical Jesus.”
This is not Christian bias; this is consensus.
2. The Claim Is Textually Ignorant (About the Qur’an)
Islam depends on the integrity of previous Scriptures.
The Qur’an repeatedly affirms:
The Torah is God’s word (3:3; 5:43).
The Psalms are God’s word (4:163).
The Gospel is God’s word (5:46; 57:27).
No one can change God’s word (6:115; 10:64; 18:27).
Christians must judge by the Gospel they have (5:47).
Jews must judge by the Torah they have (5:43).
Muhammad was told to ask Christians if he doubts the revelation (10:94).
Islam has no doctrine of Bible corruption in the Qur’an.
Every verse about “tampering” refers to:
Misinterpretation
Hiding
Misreading
But NOT textual corruption
Thus, Muslims who claim “the Bible is corrupted” contradict the Qur’an’s own teaching.
3. The Quran affirms the authenticity of the Scriptures in the days Of Mohammed
A. The Qur’an affirms the books Christians possessed in the 7th century.
Those books were:
1. The Syriac Peshitta (Aramaic Bible used by Arab Christians)
2. The Greek New Testament manuscripts circulating in Byzantium
3. The Old Testament Septuagint
4. Jewish Torah scrolls
All of these affirm:
Jesus is the Son of God
Jesus died on the cross
Jesus rose from the dead
Jesus is Lord
Paul’s letters
The deity of Christ
The Trinity
This is the real problem for Islam:
Muhammad affirmed the authority of Scriptures that contradicted his later teachings.
B. If the Bible was corrupted before Muhammad, Islam collapses.
Why?
Because the Qur’an says:
1. The Gospel was a revelation from Allah
2. Christians still possessed it
3. Christians should judge by it
4. God’s word cannot be altered
5. Muhammad affirms its authority
Therefore:
If the Bible was corrupted before the Qur’an → the Qur’an lies.
C. If the Bible was corrupted after Muhammad, Islam still collapses.
Because:
We have manuscripts older than Muhammed Including
1. The Dead Sea Scrolls (OT, 200 BC)
2. The entire NT preserved in manuscripts from AD 100–600
3. The Syriac Peshitta from the 2nd century
4. Codex Sinaiticus (AD 325)
Thus:
If the Bible was corrupted after Muhammad → Muslims must show when, where, and by whom. No Muslim scholar in 1400 years has ever provided an answer.
Therefore:
Either way, Islam loses.
4. The Claim About Paul Is a Muslim Folktale, Not History
Muslims repeat this myth:
“Paul invented Christianity. Paul never met Jesus.”
This is simply wrong.
A. Paul met the resurrected Jesus (Acts 9).
Christians don’t deny Paul’s past as a persecutor; they proclaim it because it shows the power of grace, He who was a persecutor became the loudest and boldest witness for the gospel.
B. Paul knew the eyewitnesses.
He met:
Peter
James
John
The apostles
The Jerusalem elders
Paul’s theology was confirmed by the apostles (Galatians 2).

...If the Lord now lays a burden on my heart for one or more of the prayer points then we're talking about 3hrs.
One thing I have noticed about you and your ilk is that you have this obsession with the hours spent in prayer rather than the content.
I spend time to write down prayers covering several areas of interests based on the scriptures and the understanding the Lord grants me...
The truth is that just praying each of these scriptures aloud takes me about an 1hr 30mins.
Last thing I’ll say on this thing today, these guys are not just theologically biased against tongues, they don’t pray at all.
I mean kankan.
How do I know?
The other day someone was asking them here how he can pray long in his understanding (since tongues is banned you know), they were giving answers like “sit in silence”.
You don’t understand it yet, these people say one of the ways to pray is to just sit down silently for long, then read, then sing hymns.
If you listen to them that’s the advice you’ll be getting. If you’re being afflicted the prescription will be sit in silence.
Do you see where the conversation is going?
These were people who started by saying their only problem against tongues is that you speak it publicly. Today they’re telling you you’re not even to speak it privately.
When they’ve finished collecting everything from you they’ll leave you sitting down silently. Even in church you can’t even pray loudly in the understanding they’re campaigning for, you’ll be listening prayerfully while someone else is praying.
Beware lest any man spoil you.
Good night.
@kreativkc@its_marveldavid@SirEbele There's nothing in that tweet suggesting that reading the Bible is the only way to that result... So what's the fuss all about?
Paul describes him as "God the father of our Lord Jesus Christ"...
Jesus said if you have seen me, you have seen the father... I am in the father... The last revelation of God is tied to Jesus and not to Israel... One question which is more important to God, the body or Israel?
"Anti Israeli Christianity" will never make sense.
You cannot be a consistent Christian and hate Israel. Whatever you give as your justification for hating Israel is tied to what you know about them temporally.
The eternal God knew Israel eternally and even knew that they will not receive him yet he calls them his own.
He longs to gather them like a hen gathers her chicks even though they will not come. He chases after them even though they chase after other gods.
This is the God that calls himself their God even though he is not always proud of them.
Then you that all you know about Israel is from Al-Jazeera you're saying you're a son of Abraham and you hate Israel.
Do you know how intensely contradictory that is?
You can't hate Israel and love the God of Israel.
Chief thank God you stopped at "picked up books"...
Because some of your takes clearly show that you didn't finish those books.
Experiments with celibacy - ✅
But Racism? That was a younger Than I he changed his views later. Your "Kaffir all his life" is an overkill in my books
I grew up adoring Mahatma Gandhi. I don't know what bullshit they taught in school that influenced that adoration.
Then, I picked up books.
That guy was a racist piece of garbage - absolutely detested Africans.
One of his life goals was to see a world where, he didn't mind Indians inferior to the whites as long as they were classified superior to Africans.
One of the first "fights" he fought on landing South Africa was the enforcement of two separate entrance doors for whites and Africans.
Please pick up history books. It will shock you the amount of reinforced revision we were forced to ingest as children.
Just be open minded, be malleable - because you'll find punctured holes in the very religion, tribe and ideologies you adore.
Fuck Mahatma Gandhi.
@AriyoImmanuel Bro claims intellectual superiority but whenever you look closely at his takes, you just see that they are sometimes dangerously incomplete...
This was prime Nigerian TV...
We kept correcting Frank all through this episode as he repeatedly mispronounced Aro ọma (A good year) as Aroma (the English word)... And we cheered like we would if Nigeria wọn the World Cup.
Liking this or not is clearly a matter of personal preference and has no bearing on "where you stand" whether you have "criticized" morally bankrupt trends or not.
It's like saying that the believer who doesn't enjoy a certain flavor of music should check where he stands...
I understand non-Christians, but if you are a Believer and this trend irritates you, you should check yourself and where you stand, especially if you haven’t vocally criticized other morally bankrupt trends we’ve all seen here.
This is called "turning your stones to bread" and it is an age old trick and temptation of the devil to derail those who are called to God's service...
To all those “pastors” and “prophets” selling crypto coins to people recruiting people into destructive Ponzi schemes in the name of God, this message is for you:
@I_S_A_D_ In addition most of those who share this view are women... For ages smart men have married women who are no match to their intellectual capabilities but once a women sees a man she "thinks" she is smarter than she spews ideas like this.
@I_S_A_D_ In my opinion, most women who come up with takes like this are everything but intellectual when push comes to shove... They are just consumed by hubris and the thought that men are generally dumb. However the real slow person is the one in the mirror.
This syncretist movement has incorporated Buddhist and Eastern religiosity to such a simple and beautiful part of Christianity- Prayer.
"When ye pray, go into your closet and 'ascend with slow music' to your heavenly father..."
Jesus said?
