Arguing over the insignificant shows either joy or suffering are needed. It also shows a lack of maturity. Time to grow a little more.

Praying the gospel is a spiritual discipline where you read one of the gospels of Jesus and use it as a basis for prayer.

We aren't reading for information but letting the story and person of Jesus transform us.

Use the words of the gospel to guide you in prayer.

Read the story of the unnamed woman from Shunem in 2 Kings 4.

Stop and consider her as a real person and not a foil or supporting character for Elisha.

Lots to learn from her.

(btw Shunem was just 10 mi south of Nazareth. Wonder if the boy Jesus ever visited and pondered this)

This morning I read John 8. In it Jesus says,
"I am the light of the world." (John 8:12)

That is rich enough to meditate on alone.

Jesus says, "I AM" (Yahweh's name) "the light" (the first thing Yahweh created - Gen 1) "of the world"
