Kim Hyeyoon’s success story did not begin with a glamorous debut, but with meticulous records. Behind the filmography of the actress affectionately nicknamed “My Melody” by the public lies a stacked history of more than 50 minor roles that weren’t even given names. While others might give up after a few rejections, she breathed in the dust of filming sites and built the solid “muscle” of a working actress.
During her unknown years, what troubled Kim Hyeyoon most was not her thirst for acting, but the immediate reality of survival. To save bus fare, she would routinely walk several stops to filming locations, and despite overnight shoots, she would rush to school and fight to earn a full scholarship. Instead of the romance of campus life, she chose short naps on the cold floors of waiting rooms and the bitter taste of failed auditions.
The overwhelming acting skills she recently proved through the film Salmokji are not the result of luck, but the product of honest labor. Enduring seven long, harsh years and raising her own value to the level of hundreds of millions of won.
Kim Hyeyoon, Chun Woohee, and Park Eunbin share one clear commonality: they did not rely on inherited backgrounds or sudden luck. Instead, they believed in the “real assets” they built, the cold years spent on set and the skills hardened like calluses over time.
The roads they once walked because they couldn’t afford bus fare have now become red carpets, and their once-empty wallets have transformed into brand power worth hundreds of billions. The reason the public is so captivated by them is simple: their honest survival stories, starting from the bottom and building their lives on their own, offer both comfort and a clear path to success in today’s harsh reality.
Their journey of turning cold memories of the past into blazing victories, now enjoying the richest prime of their lives, ultimately reminds us of a simple yet profound truth: sincere effort returns as the most dazzling reward.

Gw mau lo baca ini pelan pelan.
Pak Purbaya bilang kalau anggaran kurang, pilihannya cuma dua.
Sekarang gw mau kita hitung bareng.
Anak sekolah dapat makan gratis 10 ribu per hari.
Tapi BBM naik harga logistik naik. Harga logistik naik semua harga barang di pasar naik. Bahan makanan naik. Ongkos transport naik. Tagihan listrik naik.
I think the gut reaction of us privileged folks when we see the suffering of others who are supposedly 'less lucky' (read: more oppressed) should not be gratefulness. So many of us are taught to be grateful. No. We should be angry. Of injustice.
Tanggung jawab!
