Among other things I'm a bookworm, activist, maker, lover of reason, & general nerd. Intersectional feminist & striving to always learn better. She/her.
Feminism coming in for such hostility and suspicion from the left at the same time that gender revanchism and the rollback of women’s rights are becoming a central project of the right … seems bad.
@bisson_mark@HumptyHullHead@tractor_owner @Alexcs114 Neither a bag nor a sheet are articles of clothing at all. A robe, however, is a "long, loose, outer garment" which is accurate.
It sounds like "hat" is just vague enough, w enough connotations of fashion that it feels disrespectful, despite being accurate. Which is fair enough.
This is how rotten the minds of the Twitter misogynists are. They are arguing in her comments that this man’s decision to push his kids into an active marathon was good and instead of finishing she should have stopped to hug them.
A lot of the men here are fully cooked.
@bisson_mark@HumptyHullHead@tractor_owner @Alexcs114 A cap is usually defined as a type of hat, isn't it? A quick Google calls it "a soft, flat hat, typically w a visor."
I'll call it whatever is considered most respectful, but I'm confused about "hat" being incorrect if it's a specific cap, & caps are a specific kind of hats.
thing is people will know what happened and still think you’re a bad person for hating your mom 💀 your mom could literally try to k*ll you and there will still be ppl saying “ok that wasn’t nice but she still ur mom….”
Those (often conservative) people who want big families and can't afford a childcare or a nanny are trying to come up with ways to convince their kids that being 6 to a room is okay. This is the baby steps of quiverfull/other anti choice ideology into the mainstream
@ask_aubry Pretty sure statistics say women are better drivers. At least women are responsible for less fatalities. Also, a bear in the woods is a different situation than a bear trapped in a vehicle. Still, if a man is that scared of women drivers, I'm fine not driving him anywhere.
What Misogynists fail to comprehend about the "bear vs man" question is that it's not about bears.
The discussion is about violence against women. Violence that has become so common & dangerous to women that when asked this question many women chose bear, not because women think bears are not dangerous, but because women know statistically & through their own experiences just how dangerous misogynistic men are.
One of the reasons it so sickens me when misogynists use their daughters as shields, aside from the dehumanization of using marginalized people in proximity to you to excuse harm, is how are you not angrier than I am? Why do I have to love your daughters more than you do?
From the people who claim women don't understand the hypothetical, women's lack of fear over being assaulted through Twitter or by men they trust means they aren't sincere in their fear of strange men in the woods.
They didnt even have this many police show up when those losers stormed the Capitol on Jan 6
Believe America when it shows you what kind of country it is
@ask_aubry Obv NTA. If the tea set is such an unimportant child's toy, that doesn't make leaping to betray her as hard as possible over it better. If the tea set is too insignificant to divorce over, it should be WAY too insignificant to deliberately hurt your partner over, esp this bad.
