NEW: Just ONE DAY after Kamala Harris flew to Michigan to campaign with Abdul El-Sayed, the Dem Senate nominee quietly headlined a Dearborn fundraiser alongside Osama Siblani, who has called Hamas and Hezbollah “freedom fighters” and praised Nasrallah as a “hero.”

Also there: Iranian-trained cleric Mohammad Ali Elahi, who previously told his mosque that voting for El-Sayed was as religiously obligatory as PRAYER, and Amer Zahr, who has publicly said he “stands with” Hamas and Hezbollah.

The event was not open to press.

Anti-Zionism is really melting people's brains. Apparently nobody pauses to reflect on the obvious contradiction here: if Israel intends to indiscriminately kill every single Gazan (which is what "genocide" means), why on earth would it pour resources into sophisticated AI algorithms to calculate the expected civilian casualties of every single strike? What perpetrator of a "genocide" would ever bother doing that?

It's like a librarian meticulously cataloguing every book by genre and quality, only to shovel them all into the same bonfire. Or a doctor carefully identifying which cells are cancerous, then administering the same lethal dose to every cell in your body. Are these people just plain stupid?

Of course, the Israeli army is not beyond reproach, and there have very likely been war crimes in the current war. But can the critics at least get clear about what exactly they're accusing Israel of?

Eric Avrutov, 31, allegedly cornered the 66-year-old religious leader without warning and dealt multiple blows on Dahill Road near Cortelyou Road in Kensington around 9:20 p.m.

He was charged with assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment.

The act is not being treated as a hate crime – but it was Avrutov’s second unprovoked assault of the night, according to the NYPD.

About five minutes before he targeted the rabbi, Avrutov slugged another man, 60, on the side of the face as he pumped gas at the Shell station around the corner on Cortelyou Road, police said.

He was charged with assault and harassment in that attack.

Avrutov had also punched a 23-year-old man and 22-year-old woman in the face at random at Brighton 12th Street and Brighton Beach Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.

He was granted supervised release because the top charge against him – misdemeanor assault – was not eligible for bail.

Avrutov was also arrested on Sunday for allegedly showing up at his grandmother’s Brooklyn home in violation of an order of protection back in June, and charged with criminal contempt, prosecutors said.

Prosecutors asked that he be held on $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond, but he was again cut loose on supervision, according to the DA’s office.

Avrutov’s record also includes a gun possession rap from 2024, one criminal trespass arrest and another bust for violating an order of protection, police said.

Germany’s far-left socialist party Die Linke has won Berlin’s state election for the first time, taking 25.7% of the vote and finishing well ahead of the CDU on 18.8%.

One voting bloc backed the party particularly heavily: Muslims.

A new analysis found that a staggering 51% of Muslim voters in Berlin voted for Die Linke, twice the party’s support across the electorate as a whole. Had only Muslim voters cast ballots, Die Linke would have won an absolute majority.

Die Linke received just 17% among Catholics and 16% among Protestants.

Muslims are estimated to make up roughly 13% of Berlin’s electorate, making them an increasingly significant voting bloc in the German capital.

What's most shocking is how Abdul El-Sayed puts words in this Iranian student's mouth that he never said.

The student never asked El-Sayed to say he supported America's strikes on the regime in Iran. He just asked that El-Sayed have the moral clarity to put values over politics, and denounce the regime that tortured his family.

It's one thing to refuse to condemn a tyrant. It's another to explain to someone oppressed by that tyrant that they are a warmonger, just for seeking support.

El-Sayed doesn't dispute a single number.

Instead, he says "we want to quibble about the words," and that the word genocide "should be used because it speaks to the moral imperative of action."

Genocide is the word the world coined for the extermination of a people. It is the gravest charge there is. And El-Sayed's case for leveling it at the Jewish state isn't that it's true.

It's that it helps him get what he wants.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (@pressfreedom) has now removed ANOTHER 22 names from its Gaza journalist death database, bringing the total removals to 42, including 28 people it identified as having participated in combat.

Researcher Leslie Kajomovitz (@kikas6652) previously identified alleged terrorist ties in 153 of 212 people on CPJ's list, including 64 she identified as combatants.

@HonestReporting separately identified alleged terrorist ties in 120 of 209 cases.

How many media organizations that parroted CPJ's figures will now issue corrections or investigate the accuracy of their previous reporting?

And even if they do, what happens to the countless hours of television coverage, newspaper articles and social media posts that have already circulated these figures to billions of people?

Those audiences aren't going to see a correction buried months or years later.

There are also very serious questions about CPJ's criteria that aren't even dealt with here. Its external audit assessed whether the organization followed its existing rules, which permit journalists working for Hamas-affiliated media to remain in its database unless they are established to have engaged in combat or otherwise meet its exclusion criteria.

Consider a Hamas journalist accompanying a Hamas terrorist who is actively planning or carrying out an attack against Israel. If Israel strikes the terrorist and both are killed, CPJ will still count the journalist as killed by Israel, even where the strike complied fully with international law.

CPJ keeps declaring that Israel has killed more journalists than anywhere else in the world. Well, when Gaza has become a place where terrorists routinely pose as journalists, and organizations like CPJ help legitimize those claims by putting them on their casualty lists, of course you end up with an absurdly inflated “journalist” death toll.

Yehia Amin, an Arab man living in New York, stalked a group of kippah-wearing Jews through Times Square while shouting “Hamas should kill more of you,” “may Allah kill all the Jews” and “all Jews should die.”

He has now been sentenced to just 90 days in jail, which made him smile and flash a “victory sign” at his sentencing.

Judge Althea Drysdale confronted him, saying, “This is a serious matter. Why are you smiling?” Amin replied through an Arabic interpreter that he wanted to look good for photographs.

Amin followed a 23-year-old Israeli tourist and four friends for several minutes on October 18, 2023, just 11 days after the Hamas-led October 7 attack. When the group tried to escape, prosecutors said Amin ran up behind the Israeli and punched him in the back of the head. He originally faced seven charges but pleaded guilty in March to third-degree assault as a hate crime under a deal with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

Members of the New York Jewish Community Judicial Watch Group criticized the plea deal as too lenient, with founder Glenn Richter calling the 90-day sentence a “slap on the wrist.”

A Jewish cancer patient says an NHS consultant surgeon subjected him to an antisemitic tirade while cutting into his forehead, telling him that “the Jews” kill Palestinian children “for fun.”

Saul Freeman said he realized his Star of David was visible, hid it and became frightened that the surgeon holding the knife might intentionally harm him. He has pursued formal complaints over the incident.

The account is among numerous cases presented in Campaign Against Antisemitism’s new documentary, “Malignant: Antisemitism in the NHS.”

Cambridge nurse Shelley Lipman says that after a colleague discovered she was Jewish through her Hebrew tattoos, she returned from lunch to find him performing a Nazi salute beside a patient’s bed.

Other testimony includes a senior Jewish medical professor receiving antisemitic death threats and a Jewish emergency worker being physically attacked by a colleague. A dental professional described a 20,000-member professional group holding a vote to remove “Zionists” because they were “spying” on other dentists; he says numerous members with Jewish-sounding names were subsequently removed.

Some Jewish doctors have stopped displaying name badges and have been advised to avoid ordering kosher hospital meals to conceal their Jewish identity, while some doctors left the NHS for private practice because they felt safer there.

The photo from Conference Room 1 was posted by Sergiy Kyslytsya, Ukraine’s former ambassador to the UN and now First Deputy Head of the Office of the President.

Kyslytsya used the worn-out chairs as a metaphor for the state of the organization itself:

“It is outdated, has lost itself and needs a profound overhaul. Some believe it should return to its roots. The trunk of the UN grew from seeds planted in Yalta by Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill, and it is no longer a pillar of peace.”

He added that he does not believe the next UN secretary-general will be able to restore the organization’s role as long as Russia retains its seat on the Security Council.

Mamdani’s staff was apparently using Signal for official City Hall business despite being told not to, with messages set to disappear while they coordinated with a network of 200+ influencers.

Now comes the oversight hearing meant to get answers about who was involved, who was getting taxpayer-funded work, what messages were preserved, and whether NYC records rules were followed.

And what does the administration do?

They send officials who basically knew nothing about the operation the hearing was actually about, while the person overseeing the influencer outreach doesn’t show up.

That is a slap in the face to New Yorkers and NYC taxpayers.

And before anyone tries to dismiss this as Republicans attacking Mamdani, it wasn’t. Even progressive Democrat and Mamdani ally Jumaane Williams criticized the administration and said the “right people should be here” to answer these questions.

If everything about this influencer operation was above board, this hearing was the perfect opportunity to explain it. Instead, the people with the answers stayed away.

For an administration that presents itself as the transparent alternative to Trump-style politics, this is starting to look a lot like taking a page directly out of his buddy Trump’s playbook: avoid accountability, send people who can’t answer the questions, and hope the controversy blows over.

If a friend, three glasses into a dinner party, slurred that Hamas had never operated in the West Bank, you’d wince, change the subject, and quietly downgrade the friendship. You’d assume the wine was talking. You would not expect to hear the same claim, stone cold sober, delivered from the podium of the UN General Assembly by the President of France.
And yet.
On Monday, Emmanuel Macron defended his deplorable recognition of a Palestinian state – offered while Israeli hostages still languished in the tunnels of Gaza – to the assembled world. “Hamas has never operated in the West Bank”, he remarked.
Nine years in the Élysée. Dozens of security briefings. A seat at the top table of every Middle East summit going, and with especially strong views on the conflict, which tend to align, shall we say, on the side that opposes democracy. Yet still, somehow, the man does not know what Hamas is.
Here’s the worst of it. Two days before Macron intellectually soiled himself on the world stage, on the eve of Yom Kippur, Netanel Shukrun — a father of six and French citizen — was shot dead in his car by a Hamas gunman in Judea and Samaria. With his last breath, he told his son to run.
You see the irony. A Frenchman; murdered by Hamas; on the West Bank; two days before his own president told the world Hamas didn’t exist there. There’s a lesson in there, I think.

A 71-year-old Jewish woman is dead in Queens.

Cara Trager was a Conservative Jew who visited Israel 11 times and flew there in 2024 to sit with hostage families. She and her husband were walking home from a kosher Israeli restaurant on Memorial Day when a driver allegedly tore through a red light at 75 mph.

The same driver had already been caught on video vandalizing a kosher bagel shop flying Israeli flags.

Her family asked @NYCMayor Mamdani to meet them about the antisemitism tearing through his city.

He declined.

This is what “never again” looks like when the mayor won’t even sit down with the family of a slain Jewish woman.
